AUG09VSBNJ ~ Saturday, August 29, 2009 ~ 4:00 PM ~ Just the Facts
Title:Just the Facts Hostess:Melissa mollymoo951 Keyword:AUG09VSBNJ Day/Date:Saturday, August 29, 2009 Time:4:00 PM (EDT)
Lets get to know each other better. Lets share some current facts about ourselves.
What to include? How about a current photo of yourself for starters? Youll definitely need the current date. How about adding your current height & weight? Yes, you can do a pull-out for that. Oh yeahwhat's your age? How old are you?
How about your occupation, where you work & how long youve worked there? Where do you live? Who is your current significant other & how long youve been together?
Just the facts. About ME. No, about YOU! On a scrapbook page.
Make it one page or two.
And...don't forget to add pictures to support those facts.
But wait! Theres more!
At least one page should be a progressive page!
Whats a progressive page? You start with a 6 x 6 page, then make the 6 x 6 page an 8.5 x 10, then make the 8.5 x 10 an 12 x 12 page. If you just dont do any of these sizes, scrap your page to include several sizes to progress to the final size you DO scrap.
I have several progressive pages in my gallery. Here's links to two: HERE, HERE. To view all progressive pages in the gallery, click here.
1. ALL VSBN CREATIONS MUST BE UPLOADED BY 10:00 PM EDT ON SUNDAY, SEPTEMEMBER 6TH.
2. You have 2 hours to complete the challenge (unless otherwise stated).
3. Please remember to put in the correct keyword, AUG09VSBNJ, when uploading your image. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos.
It is also highly recommended that you post a link to your creation in this chat thread to be sure your layout is seen.

Hi ladies! I'm just now getting here today. Had to run some errands with hubby and we went to Carrabbas Italian Restaurant for a late lunch. Then, had to make a phone call and put in some wash (my laundry was taking over my stamp-room!). Right now, though, I have stampin'/scrappin stuff in here, in the living room and attached dining room! hee, hee. I'm making my pages on the dining room table! After looking over the challenges, I think I'll give this one a try. Can I do a 6x6 progressing to a 8.5x11 Page? The Scrapbook I'm putting these pages in is an 8.5x11 Book.

Well hello there vsbners! Where the heck did I go eh? Big storm knocked out my power last night and threw my 'puter a curve ball. I think it's all fixed now. I missed you guys!!!
What an awesome challenge, Melissa! And the ones I missed so far today sound fabulous! What a creative bunch we have. I'm going to try and actually scrap some before I get caught up on comments and chatting... we'll see!

This is a side note question: The foam letters - got them from HL, can they work in a scrapbook? Label says nothing about being safe lol
That depends - are you an 'archival' scrapper?
You know, I see people use so many different kinds of things in their sb's, and I think it's a touchy subject for some people. My 2 cents is, if you like it, use it - but when in doubt don't let it touch any photos in case it wrecks them 20 years from now.

Thank you. All the challenges sound fab. I've been digging through photos this morning...thinking about the layouts. Have only done one so far...my sample. I'm trying to find more mojo.

I agree Kirsten! It's great to have all these ideas for getting pages done!

Ok, I think I have sketches for all of these done! I'm just full of inspiration - now to see if I can get any pages done. I've spent the last 10 minutes trying to take a picture of myself. It's not going well!

This one I am doing for sure! I thought progressive pages were a lost art -- thanks for adding this to the challenge! It is the best way to demo scrapbooking to newbies in a class or workshop -- long live the progressive page! Will play later, when it's not too hot to scrap and I can get to the mall to have some new photos printed.

I started this challenge around 4:30. I had all kinds of problems, aaaccckkkk! I couldn't get my computer to do what I wanted it to do, then I punched a corner of my pix and it took out a chunk of my hair in the pix. When I tried to reprint it, the size had changed and I couldn't get that fixed, then I ran out of color ink! I finally got everything to work but had to take a break after all of that! I did wash, ran to the grocery store, watered flowers and now I think I am calm enough to try and finish this challenge!

AFTER MORE COMPUTER COMPLICATIONS AND STOPPING TO EAT AND TAKE A SHOWER AND GET READY FOR CHURCH TOMORROW, HERE IT IS, FINALLY!
The button under the picture is in the center of a flower but it doesn't show up too well. I also sponged the BG paper with thyme and pixie pink. THIS IS IT FOR ME TODAY! GOOD-NIGHT.VSBN - Just the facts-Janie by jcstamplady at Splitcoaststampers
