Title: 3-D Flowers
Hostess: Barbara, bejoyce
Keyword: MAR12VSNMINI3
Day/Date: Friday, FEBRUARY 10
Time: 7:00pm EST
Here in the Seattle area, we had quite a storm in January--snow, ice, wind, and major power outages. We were without power for three days, and it was cold and dark. I am **SO** ready for Spring, and the beautiful flowers that will soon be here.
My challenge for you is to make a card or other project using one or more 3-dimensional flowers that you have made.
You can use punches, dies, Nestabilities, or even cut them freehand. You can use cardstock, printed paper, vellum, tissue paper, ribbon or even fabric. Note that you have to make the flowers youself--no Primas or other pre-made flowers, please! Layer those babies, and make those flowers pop off the page!
The flower on my card was made with four cuts of the smallest flower in the SU Fun Flowers die. I cut two Pink Pirouette and two Pretty in Pink. Then I used the
Faux Suede technique, giving me 8 layers. I sponged the Pink Pirouette layers with Pretty in Pink, and the Pretty in Pink layers with Regal Rose ink, alternated the layers (suede side up) and secured with a shiny pink brad.
