MAR07VSNC 8:00PM -Chat Thread - Popping up for SUMMERTIME!!
MAR07VSNC 8:00pm EST Popping up for Spring Hosted by Wonkaismycat
I don't know about you, but this whole winter business is a drag. I am so tired of snow, I could scream!! Here in Wisconsin, the snow doesn't melt until about May. If could vacation anwhere, it would be SUMMERTIME!! Don't you just love summertime? I do!! Mmmm....I can almost smell the flowers now! I can't wait to see the first little shoots popping up in my yard!!!
Your challenge is to create a free-standing pop up card. You must use bright, cheery colors and flower stamps.
The directions can be found using the following link: Forums at Splitcoaststampers
Please send out a special THANK YOU!!! to Joelyn for her wonderful directions!!!
Uploading Instructions:
You have 45 minutes to complete this challenge.
If you are using additional keywords, you must separate them with a comma.
Copying and pasting the keyword is recommended to avoid typos
It is recommended that you post a link to your creation in the chat thread just in case the gallery is being testy.
If you have any questions, Ill be available in the chat thread.
This looks like fun! I have wanted to try this out and I'm printing the instructions now. I followed the link from the Master thread. It's in the first post.
I can see the inbstructions, but I have been trying for 10 minutes now to print out the attached pictures and all I get is connection timed out pages. SIGH.... Maybe I can play the NEXT challenge

well, you don't actually need the picture. it is more for reference. as long as you score where it tells you to and follow the instructios, you shoudln't have a problem....
Help! I've read and reread the instructions and I don't understand! I'm not even sure how the card is supposed to work.... Can you explain what *mark the card 3/4 from center line means? Are we supposed to keep the big piece flat, I assume? Does mark mean score from one side to the other? And where do we place that 2 3/4" cut? Center it?

oh no, trust me.... I *NEED* the picture.... I'm a "visual girl". The instructions just make me go, "HUH?!". LOL!

right....what you need to do is lay the card flat.
then, in the center scoring line -- put a dot or something 3/4 of the way in on both sides. then, take your craft/exacto knife and cut between the dots. the slit will be 2 3/4". make sense??
If you had trouble figureing out the instructions, feel free to subtract that amount of time from your 45 minutes. Sorry they instruction thread wasn't working quite right....
Wow, Melinda! This is soooooo far out of my comfort zone....me and projects like this don't mix very well. I've printed the directions and I'm going to give it a shot! the 45 min timeframe will be the biggest challenge on this one for me!! here I go.....
I *JUST* got the pics to print and now it's too late to do it in sequence, so now I'm TWO challenges behind.... Oh well, I had figured I'd end up missing the first 2 anyway getting DH ready to leave again tomorrow..... I did get all the laundry sorted and "lined up" in its little production line! LOL!

without a doubt, you will figure it out just fine. it really is very very simple!!!
Eat Cake (the stamp set) came to mind for this project- sorry, no flowers unless you count the ones on the designer paper.
Here's mine:Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Ok, this one nearly freaked me out. I've never done this kind of pop-up before and to have to decipher directions under the gun made me a wee bit nervous, but it was easier than I thought, thanks to great diagrams!
