Default JUNE VSN Survey

1. How many cards did you make in the evening? I completed 8 of the challenges.

2. What challenge was your favorite? I love the Flagbook challenge, although I still haven't gotten to play with this yet. I also really liked the photograph challenge too.
3. Was the 45min allotment too much or too little? I think it was too much, but I tend to just go and get inspired while I work. I don't do well trying to picture things in my head. However, there is such a diverse group of people doing these challenges that I think the 45 minutes is the best time allowance. I can always make a second card or work on the bonus challenges with the extra time.
4. What night of the week do you prefer next time? I am very flexible and would even love doing something during the day.
5. What times (specify in central time zone if you can!) do you prefer for the next challenge? Any works for me.
6. What one thing would you change next time? Make sure the hostesses know HOW to do their challenge. I asked a question that never did get answered about how to do a challenge and the reply was she was hostessing, but didn't know how to do it.
7. How was your uploading experience? I waited until Sunday morning and it was fine.
8. How was the communication? Do you think we could have improved it somehow? If yes, please explain? Please see number 6.
9. Were the "VSN rules" clearly defined? Yes
10. Did you have FUN? WOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

1. How many cards did you make in the evening

8 cards, 4 gift cards, and a box

2. What challenge was your favorite

Bubbles! It's something I had never tried, and I made a really nice looking card!

3. Was the 45min allotment too much or too little?

I liked the fun of rushing around with the 30 min challenges, But 45 min gave me time to create quality cards. So I guess there are good things about both, but I would like to see 30 min come back just for the crazy stamping factor

4. What night of the week do you prefer next time?

Friday Night

5. What times (specify in central time zone if you can!) do you prefer for the next challenge?

8-midnight

6. What one thing would you change next time?

I wouldn't offer the allnight challenges. I never got around to the book challenge and the next day I was stamped out to finish before noon.

7. How was your uploading experience? great!

8. How was the communication? Do you think we could have improved it somehow? If yes, please explain? I thought it was perfect!

9. Were the "VSN rules" clearly defined? Yes

10. Did you have FUN?
YES YES YES!

1. How many cards did you make in the evening? 8 plus 1 box
2. What challenge was your favorite? The sure & simple -
3. Was the 45min allotment too much or too little? Only just enough - 1 hour wd be better to allow chit chat/clean up/eat & drink breaks
4. What night of the week do you prefer next time? saturday
5. What times (specify in central time zone if you can!) do you prefer for the next challenge? as June or an hour earlier
6. What one thing would you change next time? nothing really
7. How was your uploading experience? waited till Sunday morning at 7:00 EST and it was great
8. How was the communication? Do you think we could have improved it somehow? If yes, please explain? great except that the link for 1 of the challenges didn't work & Granny Hawkins techniques were too complicated for anyone who had never done anything like that before - i found that a little off-putting as the very first challenge
9. Were the "VSN rules" clearly defined? yes
10. Did you have FUN? yes but I was a lousy hostess - not enough time to socialize and completely forgot to offer my guests any of the food I'd bought and one of them complained that we were too serious and should have talked more. How about a challenge/hour?

Default survey says....

1. I made 8 cards during VSN
2. My favorite challenge was probably the Thinking outside the box, although I did not make the 2468 box pattern, I just liked using my sets for something other than their intended use.
3. 45 minutes is the perfect time frame
4. I think a Friday night would be good, but Saturday was fine.
5. I liked the 5-11 CST, but an all day thing would be fun too like 9-3pm CST
6. Some of the challenges were worded in a way that was difficult to understand what the hostess was wanting. Maybe each hostess could post their interpretation of the challenge, or even find something in the gallery that inspired their challenge.
7. Uploading was somewhat slow, but ok.
8. Good communication. I loved how that if I asked a ?, the hostess would reply immediately. I did not have time to check out the General Discussion during the challenges, I would have liked to have 5 minutes in between challenges to check out other's creations, make comments, etc...
8. Rules were clearly defined.
9. I had a blast, but I had to check my BP several times Can't wait until the next one!

1. How many cards did you make in the evening?
3 cards and 2 bonuses
2. What challenge was your favorite?
notecards
3. Was the 45min allotment too much or too little?
Any shorter and I would not have accomplished much, any longer and would not have been much challenge to it
4. What night of the week do you prefer next time?
Saturday nights
5. What times (specify in central time zone if you can!) do you prefer for the next challenge?
I thought 5-11 was great

6. What one thing would you change next time?
Nothing on your end . A lot on mine.

7. How was your uploading experience?
Great
8. How was the communication? Do you think we could have improved it somehow? If yes, please explain?
I think you all did a wonderful job.
9. Were the "VSN rules" clearly defined?
yes

1. How many cards did you make in the evening?
only managed to do 4
2. What challenge was your favorite?
I like the photograph one. Never done that before.
3. Was the 45min allotment too much or too little?
I liked the 45 minutes better than 30.4. What night of the week do you prefer next time?
Saturday works for me.
5. What times (specify in central time zone if you can!) do you prefer for the next challenge?
Let's see, central is 2 hours behind eastern, so I guess 5:00 - whenever because I'll quit when I've gotten too tired anyway.6. What one thing would you change next time?
Maybe not so many bonus challenges
7. How was your uploading experience?
Excellent! I was surprised how fast the site was working (for most of the night). The moderators must have been working their butts off!
8. How was the communication? Do you think we could have improved it somehow? If yes, please explain?
The only thing I might add is what the judges might be looking for. For example, in the Board Book challenge, I thought they wanted as many images and words as possible beginning with one letter. Not just one word/image.
9. Were the "VSN rules" clearly defined?
Absolutely!
10. Did you have FUN?
A blast!!!!

Default Survey

1. How many cards did you make in the evening?
Four
2. What challenge was your favorite?
Background was fun.
3. Was the 45min allotment too much or too little?
45 works for me!
4. What night of the week do you prefer next time?
Friday or Saturday
5. What times (specify in central time zone if you can!) do you prefer for the next challenge?
Same is fine.
6. What one thing would you change next time?
Sub-dividing VSN's into different months, so you don't have to search through old VSN posts to find what you are looking for. Same format in posting titles for challenges. Easy to ID right away.
7. How was your uploading experience?
Fine. No issues.
8. How was the communication? Do you think we could have improved it somehow? If yes, please explain?
Some of the files or links didn't always work the first time. Don't know what you can do about technical difficulties.
9. Were the "VSN rules" clearly defined?
Yes!
10. Did you have FUN?
You bet!!!

1. How many cards did you make in the evening? 8
2. What challenge was your favorite? the little cards bonus challenge, bathroom challenge
3. Was the 45min allotment too much or too little? just perfect!
4. What night of the week do you prefer next time? fri or sat, doesn't matter
5. What times (specify in central time zone if you can!) do you prefer for the next challenge? I really liked the JUne times 3-9 pacific time
6. What one thing would you change next time?
7. How was your uploading experience? like buttah!
8. How was the communication? Do you think we could have improved it somehow? If yes, please explain? One thing I noticed that the thread titles for the different challenges were different, some had JUNEVS# first, then the word title of the challenge, some were opposite. It was kind of hard the next day to find a certain thread about a challenge because they were not labeled the same so you had to read each one thoroughly to find the one you wanted.
9. Were the "VSN rules" clearly defined? yes - clearly defined and very reasonable
10. Did you have FUN? TONS!

1. How many cards did you make in the evening?
I made the 9 challenges, and 2 bonuses

2. What challenge was your favorite?
I liked the photograph one, simply because I hadn't done anything like that (besides scrapbooking) before

3. Was the 45min allotment too much or too little?
It was a good amount of time for me, I was doing a bunch of other stuff that night (like making a ton of pinwheel sandwiches for a party), so I had time to stamp and cater

4. What night of the week do you prefer next time? Saturday works best for me, since the latest I ever work is 6:00, on weekdays, I often work until 8:00

5. What times (specify in central time zone if you can!) do you prefer for the next challenge? Maybe an hour earlier, like 4:00-10:00

6. What one thing would you change next time?
I don't know, I thought things went well.

7. How was your uploading experience? AMAZING!

8. How was the communication? Do you think we could have improved it somehow? If yes, please explain? I like looking at the old VSN posts, but it was very hard to find the new ones with those dispersed throughout the first page. Everything within the challenges was very well explained, with examples for more complicated items, I thought it went very well.

9. Were the "VSN rules" clearly defined? Definitely!

10. Did you have FUN? SO much fun!

Smile June VSN survey reply

1. I made 5 of the challenges.
2. Favorite challenge was: Think outside the box. It really got my brain working.
3. 45 minutes was tight, but shouldn't be any longer or some of us wouldn't make it to the end, ZZZZZZZ.
4. Either Friday or Saturday night works for me.
5. 5PM CST was fine for me, I am in EST.
6. The only thing I would change is making it easier to upload the pics. That was a bit of an issue sometimes for me. It took too much time to take the picture of the finished card, download the pic into my hard drive then upload in SCS. It made me run late and even miss some of the challenges.
7. Uploading was inconsistent from my experience. Sometimes it was fast and sometimes not so fast. The later challenges went faster.
8. The communication was great and very helpful.
9. The rules were clear and easy to understand.
10. It was great fun and I am looking foward to the next one. I am encouraging all of my stamping sisters to take the challenge next time.

Default questions and answerrs

1. How many cards did you make in the evening? I finished 11 of the 12 challenges (I was the hostess for the 1 I didn't do!)

2. What challenge was your favorite? I liked the mini notecards

3. Was the 45min allotment too much or too little? It was more than enough in most cases

4. What night of the week do you prefer next time? Saturday

5. What times (specify in central time zone if you can!) do you prefer for the next challenge? 6 p.m.-12 p.m. central

6. What one thing would you change next time? Give all bonuses at start of VSN that way we could work on them as time allowed throughout the night. Some of those were time and labor intensive challenges.

7. How was your uploading experience? Perfect. I had no sooner uploaded, than they were in my gallery. Towards the end of the night, it got a bit slow, but was still manageable.

8. How was the communication? Do you think we could have improved it somehow? If yes, please explain? It was great! Everything was explained and rules were clear. I couldn't ask for anything better!

9. Were the "VSN rules" clearly defined? YES and I loved it!

10. Did you have FUN? Of course!

1. How many cards did you make in the evening? 7
2. What challenge was your favorite? The tearing/DTP one! It's an easy technique, so I had plenty og time to be creative with my card instead of rushing just to get to the deadline.
3. Was the 45min allotment too much or too little? Almost too little. Because my computer is so slow, it took me a good 10 mins to upload cards and post.
4. What night of the week do you prefer next time? Saturday works fine for me.
5. What times (specify in central time zone if you can!) do you prefer for the next challenge? I was happy with the 6 to 12
6. What one thing would you change next time?thru. I didn't care for the box challenge or 4 little card challenge---1 card is about all I had time to rush thru
7. How was your uploading experience? went smoothly
8. How was the communication? Do you think we could have improved it somehow? If yes, please explain? Seemed fine to me.

1. How many cards did you make in the evening? I completed 8 out of the 12 challenges and I still slept past 2 am. Yikes. I guess having 2 small children contributed to it.

2. What challenge was your favorite? The bubbles. I've never done it before.

3. Was the 45min allotment too much or too little? It was too little for me. I need time to think then put it together. When I was in the middle of creating the challenge, a new one was already up. I stayed up pretty late and I still had 4 more to complete.

4. What night of the week do you prefer next time? Friday or Saturday is good.

5. What times (specify in central time zone if you can!) do you prefer for the next challenge? I'm in CA and 3pm was sorta early. Maybe 4-5 pm would be good.

6. What one thing would you change next time? Nothing. I had so much fun.

7. How was your uploading experience? It was ok. There was only one time that I had a problem. The only bad part was the "approval" time. SOmetimes a challenge would be done but they were still pending. However I do understand there must be a gazillion people trying to upload at the same time. Maybe 2-3 people could help jbalcer w/the uploads for VSN.

8. How was the communication? Do you think we could have improved it somehow? If yes, please explain? Ti was good. I had no problems.

9. Were the "VSN rules" clearly defined? Yes

10. Did you have FUN? Oh yes yes yes! I can't wait until the next one.

I finished 8 cards
Loved the Alphabet Board book and the Photo challenge
45 min. was just right
Saturday
5 Central
Am kinda anal and couldnt get to the bonus challenges, so thought it was too overwhelming and bugged me that I didn't try them
Upload was great, it's to be expected that it would slow down with so many of us uploading
Great communication and clear rules ( dumb me, made sure I put JuneVSN in each title, then it dawned on me " keyword" was a seperate line)
Was way too fun, challenges were a bit tougher than the 1st VSN so it was very exciting right at the start line
Am going to try Granny's tag book, have everything ready in my head, lol

1. How many cards did you make in the evening? Four cards, one box, and four notecards.
2. What challenge was your favorite? "Think outside the box" because I had a lot of fun looking at everybody's creations afterwards.
And the bonus challenge with the notecards because it made me try a format that I will be using regularly from now on.
3. Was the 45min allotment too much or too little? To me, it's too little. It takes me a little time to think my design through before I get started and with only 45 minutes, I feel kind of rushed. I would suggest leaving an hour to do the challenge and in order to keep the number of challenges up, I'd like to see two challenges posted at once. This way, you can either do both by trying to work out each card in an hour, or concentrate solely on one challenge if one's more inspiring than the other to the stamper.
4. What night of the week do you prefer next time? Fridays work best, then Saturday.
5. What times (specify in central time zone if you can!) do you prefer for the next challenge? 5 to 11 Central zone is perfect for me (I'm on the East Coast).
6. What one thing would you change next time? Try and post two challenges at once, and leave more time in between challenges (an hour).
7. How was your uploading experience? I had to wait for the next morning (Sunday) to load everything I had finished because I couldn't on Saturday night.
8. How was the communication? Do you think we could have improved it somehow? If yes, please explain? Nothing to complain about here.
9. Were the "VSN rules" clearly defined? Yes, they were.
10. Did you have FUN? Yes, indeed!!

Thanks for going through the trouble of posting a survey. The fact that we can post suggestions is much appreciated!

Cheers!
Cindy

1. How many cards did you make in the evening?
6

2. What challenge was your favorite?
I loved using a picture in the layout and the mini card concept.

3. Was the 45min allotment too much or too little?
just right

4. What night of the week do you prefer next time? Saturday

5. What times (specify in central time zone if you can!) do you prefer for the next challenge?
5-11

6. What one thing would you change next time?
It was hard to keep track of when the new challenge would post. I probably should have written down the master schedule. Maybe it could be a sticky to find quickly. Also, I would have liked reinkers to have been on the shopping list. I noticed some people said that they didn't have them. Maybe any stamping supply beyond stamps and inks could be included in the shopping list so we could borrow or buy if we need to.

7. How was your uploading experience?
no problems. I think I will do all of my uploading the next morning the next time if that window is still given- so that I could do it all at once.

8. How was the communication? Do you think we could have improved it somehow? If yes, please explain?
I thought it was great. I appreciated how the judges took time to make comments on each one. That was a big commitment on their part, but a sweet touch to let everyone know that their card was enjoyed.

9. Were the "VSN rules" clearly defined?
A couple of the challenges I was a little confused and worked on other things during that time slot. The general rules were great.

10. Did you have FUN? Oh, yes!

Very well defined - gets easier to understand each one!
