Everyone loves receiving cards or letters, letting them know how much they are appreciated. I've made some of my very closest friends through VSN and get so excited with I see happy mail from them. I'm not the best reciprocator, but I try.
My challenge to you is to make a card for someone that means a lot to you. Your hubby, your boyfriend, your BFF....BUT....there is a twist!!!
Some of you may not know, but our FABULOUS CO, Jimmi, does NOT like hearts!!! ***GASP*** Isn't that shocking considering the theme of VSN? LOL!!
In honor of our FABULOUS CO, Jimmi, you may NOT use the colors pink, red, or white and NO HEARTS!!! Make an Ode to Jimmi card for someone you love and make their day.

Kim, this was such a challenge for me. No Pink, NO Red, And NO WHITE!!!!! I mean, the hearts I could deal with. And then of course I used white, but realising my mistake, I was able to salvage the card - details in my card description. Here's my card:

I got kicked out of my stamping room. Ok, it's really the bedroom. My boyfriend, who just spent a day and a half on airplanes is home, YEAH!!, was ready to go to sleep. He tried to go to sleep while I was making cards and after about 5 minutes he told me I was making too much noise. I told him to put earplugs in. That is the response I get when I wake him to roll over when he is snoring too loud. He didn't like that response.
Too much stuff to move into the living room so I will browse all the fabulous cards until I can get back into the stamping room, ah bedroom, in the morning. Since he went to sleep at 7:30 at least I know he will be up early.
Maybe I have been living under a rock??!! Who is Jimmi?? And what is a CO?
Jimmi is one of the Coordinators (CO) for VSN. She doesn't like hearts or lovey dovey stuff and we tease her about it since she is in charge of this really lovey dovey fun VSN! :-D
Awwww...........bummer you got kicked out. :( DBF is GONE for the wkend so I knew this would be ON for me........if only I could tear myself away from still doing stupid housework which got me behind!! I've been here now for about 3 hrs and this next challenge is going to be tough. I'm giving it a whirl though!

My friend's sister had a heart attack last night, so I made her a card to let her know I'm thinking of her. I'll use a gel pen to write her name in the brown rectangle to the lower left of the tree. (Since her name's rather unusual, I left it off for now.)
