Question White Ink ??

I have been making Christmas cards. I am done but I had trouble with the white ink I was using. It came in a kit I got a while back. I am going to just discard it.
I would like to use white ink for my Valentines days cards.
Any suggestions for a white ink that will give me a clean, clear , bright white image??? I am using the clear stamps.

Blessings,
Julie

Hiya Julie

I find that if I emboss the stamped image with detail white embossing powder it takes care of that problem. If you want white ink the best alternative to embossing is white pigment ink - white dye ink does not show up much.

For white pigment ink I *think* Colorbox Frost White is good. But if you really want it to pop emboss it

I LOVE white Craft ink or Colorbox.........stamp it on light pastels for background (would look LOVELY on bright red for Valentines!) Love it on Kraft paper, too.

Set it aside to dry overnight.........then keep working on your cards.

Good luck!

I agree with Inkygramma. I've used all kinds of white ink - from SU, CTMH, Stazon, Brilliance, etc. The best results are with white pigment ink with white embossing powder.

My favorite white ink is Frost White by Colorbox. I did like Stampin'Up's Craft White but my pad disappeared (and never resurfaced) and I've decided to keep on using the Colorbox white. I am attaching a comparison of Colorbox Frost White (top) and Brilliance Moonlight White (bottom) on black cardstock (from The Paper Company).

ETA: This thread discusses white ink and one of the posts explains more about the attached photo and other members attached photos. It was a fun thread!
