Default cricut or cuttlebug/big shot

If you were given a choice, which machine would you want, and money wasn't an object. The cricut or cuttlebug/big shot. And what was your decision based on.

I had this decision to make...I went for the Cuttlebug since it does embossing. Also, the newer Cricuit is going to do 12 x 12, so if I wanted a Cricut, I'd wait for that.

ditto! Just got it! Although I'm not sure about the big shot. I like the portability and compactness of the cuttlebug!

I LOVE my Big Shot and would buy it again in a minute. I like its sturdiness. It is a lot bigger than a Cuttlebug but I don't ever plan on putting it away so storage is not an issue. It has a permanent home on my table.

I vote CRICUT all the way. I use that little bug sooo much it's not even funny. I would definitely invest in this one unless you are just wanting to emboss. The Cricut does not emboss but it has endless diecuts from just one cartridge.

You need to read the review that JulieHRR did on these. Her choice was the Big Shot! That's what I'm getting.

Default Don't forget the Big Kick!

I just got one and it is fantastic! does everything the cuttlebug does and no problems with the cutting plates cracking! It is exactly like the Big Shot, according to Ellison it is basically the same machine. Sizzix offers an introductory package for the Big Kick that includes the multi-purpose platform so that you can use just about any competitor's dies -- QuickKutz, Sizzlets, Cuttlebug, etc. So many choices these days. I have seen the Cricut demonstrated several times but thought that I would get frustrated with the way the paper sticks and you need tweezers to take it off the sticky cutting thing. Also, the alphabets seemed to be too large to use on cards and I've been doing more cards than scrapbooking. But whatever you decide, have fun!

Thanks, I did read JulieHRR reviews, it was quite helpful in making my decisions. I also went with the Big Shot, wish I love.
