CHECK your Cuttelbug Alphas
OMG! You aren't gonna believe this!
I was in the process of making a recipe holder thingy. Well I wanted to use Red Tag alpha to pucnh the word RECIPE
Well Im keep checking my dies to find out Im missing letters! So I count the dies themselves-YUP 10 total.
I was going out of my mind for like 20 minutes tyring to figure out what the problem was.
Well wouldn't you know I have 2 of the same dies!!!!! Took me forever to realize it. The pkg was brand new, unopened. I did get it on ebay
OMG! Do you think Provocraft will send me the correct one? What should I do?
FREAKING OUT RIGHT NOW!
I have the Red Tag Alpha, also and ran into a problem with the letter "C". The bottom of it was cut off. I called Provo Craft and they sent me a new die/strip. I bet if you call them they will be very helpful. They didn't even ask me where I bought it, when I bought it...they just sent a replacement. Good luck!!

My letter c is cut off to at the bottom. I'm gonna call Provo craft!!! Thanks for the heads up !!
It took about three weeks for my replacement to arrive, but I think that was because they (Provo Craft) had to wait for a new shipment to arrive. You will probably get yours quicker.

Hey Lauren,
I had the same problem with mine!!! I'd opened it part way earlier when some on here mentioned that their C was flat. I pulled out that die and it was flat. So I called and they sent a new die to me. I opened the package the rest of the way in mid January and just went through it because it's an interesting alpha. I had to look a few times and I had two of the l, m, n (or something like that-I'm at work) die and no o, p, q die. So I called again and told them what I needed. Several weeks went by and I hadn't got it, so I called again a couple weeks ago. I got the die about a week later. And guess what came a few days after that, the same die I was missing and had just recevied!! So now I have 13 dies for this set, it's crazy!! I'm guessing my first request was finally filled and then the second request apparantley was filled too!!
Yes, definitely call them. I am sure they will make it right.
On the same line, I was at Michaels getting a pack of the dies with the 4 little tags, square and circle. I noticed before I checked out that the package had only circles, and no squares. I told the clerk so she could send it back and no one else would buy it.

Their first mass production of the dies had SEVERAL mistakes. Provocraft is aware of the problem and will take care of it, but like the above posts, it does take a while to receive them. :(
I ordered the "flower" dies (scalloped circles) on-line. When my package arrived instead of four different sizes, I only had three (two were of the same size die). The company I ordered from replaced them. While I was in Michaels last week I was looking at their selection and wouldn't you know it, I spotted another package of 3x3 dies had two of the same in it.
I just picked up one of the alphas - "You're Not the Boss of Me" (my niece's favorite quip when growing up! I'm going to check as soon as I get home & make sure everything is ok with it. All the other die sets I've gotten have been perfect.

Ok Im going to contact them tomorrow.
Hey Rubber Stamp Nut thanks for the supah sweet offer. I just improvised. Oh well.
Let you know what happens. Ive had this since Christmas and never even noticed! Tracey that means Shannon had duplicate letters and NO C-E-F-G and maybe H.
Sorry!
I had the same problem with Red Tag Sale (the C is flat on bottom) so I called Provocraft and the lady finally agreed to ship the replacement to Canada (they'll do it in the US but I guess they don't have the same policy for Canada)...she was very nice and helpful but they sent me a replacement die with the exact same problem. I called again and left her a message over a week ago but haven't heard back.

No worries, she loves them whether they are all there or not! She calls them "spaghettios" we get the letter ones (One of her favorite tings to eat)

Really? My c is flat too and I called today after finding this post (thanks, mytime!) and they didn't say anything about having a problem sending one to me (I'm in Ontario).

I called ProvoCraft in December about my Red Tag Sale alpha, and I just got the replacement die March 5.
Funny this was mentioned. I just used my Red Tag at a class yesterday and had an issue with duplicates. One lady wanted an "I" and do you know, the silver side showed an "I" but the actual die side was a bunch of other letters. I plan to call Provocraft. This same set had a flat "c". I called awhile back and they replaced the plate. Seems like alot of issues with the Red Tag alpha's.
Mmm, I've called numerous times about that flat topped c, and was told they were expecting a shipment and I still have yet to get the replacement. It's been since December. Guess I'll be calling yet again.

I was missing the most used letter 'E"!!! Go check my blog and youl'll see what I had to end up doing. Not thrilled with the results, but I am impatient.
Called Provocraft today and they were nice and said they will send me the new die I was missing.
Still so frustrating.
I forgot to tell them B plates broke!!
I have had numerous problems with my dies. I had several dies from the Olivia alpha that did not cut well. I exchanged it at Mike's and tested out the new set ....still a couple of dies were not up to par. Two of the little 2x2 dies also had dies that did not cut through (Astericks and the Little Animals). I called Provo Craft and they asked me to send them the defective dies. Has anyone else had that request from them? I don't mind sending them back, but I don't feel like I should have to pay shipping if their product is defective. I also feel like I have over used my B plates just "testing" the dies to see which ones work and which ones don't. Any thoughts???
With that said....I DO STILL love that little green BUG!!!

Hi... I am bumping this to find out if anyone else has run into the same situation...PC asking to have defective merchandise sent back??? Would I be out of line to ask them to send me a "pick up" slip so that I don't have to pay postage??

So glad you mentioned the Olivia alpha. I bought this a month ago and haven't used it yet - this is my kick in the hind end to get it out and see if all the letters work correctly. Thanks for the jump-start. I'll report back with results!:-D
C flat here too- and I'm not talking music! Now who do I call or email????
Provocraft ph# 1-800-937-7686. I called today & they are shipping a new Red Tag plate to me in Canada no problem (C was cut off at the top). But I did ask how long it would take and the girl wouldn't give me a time frame as she did know how long it would take.

Thanks so much, I think I'll do a test run on all of my new dies before I call. D
I saw one of the 4 packs of embossing folders that had 2 of the same folder in it. Pretty crappy since you only get 4 to begin with. Obviously, I didn't buy this one.
Check my RTS alpha and the 'c' was bad on the bottom. Called today and the gal was real sweet. Said they would get it out in the mail today. I should have it next week if they do what they say.

Received my replacement "C" die and the numbers die which was missing in the original RTS, called Friday of last week. I'm impressed w/ their customer service.

Don't waste your time emailing, their customer service is not that great and the only way to get a response from them before your warranty gives out is to call. I emailed them about a defective Silent Setter I bought, no response no response, then brought it up when I called about the defective RTS alpha and they said it was longer than they allow exchanges for.
Checked mine today and the C was flat on the bottom. I got mine at AC Moore. Will they take them back or should I call provocraft? I don't have the package.
