Default New PressBoss Pro A4 Machine

Does anyone have this die cutting/embossing machine or seen any reviews? this is just on pre-order at my local craft store and I am considering a replacement for my Grand Calibur since it doesn't work the sizzix steel plate dies.

I got an e-mail from Ecstasy Crafts yesterday announcing their pre-order deal for the New Press Boss Pro A4 machine. There is also a video on You Tube here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AD1j6-jP8zI Here is the connection to the Ecstasy Crafts web site. They are Canadian but also have a US outlet. The Press Boss Die Cutting & Embossing Machine | Ecstasy Crafts

They are a little expensive and perhaps not for everyone. I hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply Sue. I received the same e-mail...I was hoping someone already owns this cutter and would recommend it from personal experience. I guess I will just wait until I see some reviews.

I saw this at the local craft show on 31 October 2015. I was quite impressed the demo was short but covered what one needed to know. If I didn't already have two at machines I would have bought it.

I bought a die cutting machine that looks almost exactly like the Press boss Pro. I got it in November at the StampScrapArtTour convention in NJ from Tessler/Ellentina. I don't know if it is the same machine but it looks like it is only in different colors. It can handle letter size paper, only the plates are about a half inch smaller than that. The Tessler machine came with all the plates (base, clear, metal shim, rubber embossing pad) as well as a large die and a large embossing folder. I'm still getting used to the machine (figuring out the correct setting for the dial, when to use the metal sheet). I will say that it is a beautiful machine, very compact for it's capability, does not shift when rolling through and having adjustable settings plus the ability to cut into 8.5" letter paper into is what sold me (well, that and it's looks). On the downside, I did notice difficulty in cutting a brand new heartfelt creations flower die without the metal plate. The edges on the side closest to the machine edge cut, but the middle did not. This was after setting the dial a few times for more pressure. In contrast i was able to get a clean cut using my big kick with just the cutting pads and magnetic platform. In fairness, i did not use the metal plate it came with, so maybe that was key. I have no experience with the Nellie Snellen machine, but they do look remarkably alike.

I hope this is helpful. If anyone has either machine, I would love to hear your thoughts.
