Default What is a Wishblade? I read on the Cricut thread that the Wishblade was for computers

Hi, I know this may sound "DUH," but what is the Wishblade? I saw and covet the Cricut, but the price seems a bit high for such a small machine... I remember the graphics department at the newspaper had a program that would "cut" out vinyl for signs. Is this the same principal? I have 2 Sizzix Machines, and over 200 regular Sizzix images, 6 Sizzix letter sets, and 9 Sizzlets letter sets. I do not see the reason to go out and buy the Cricut, considering the HUGE investment I have already made... However, if there is a cutter type program for my computer, I'm really interested in finding out more about it!!!

Yes, the Wishblade is a computer cutter. It originally was a vinyl sign cutter and was then transformed for scrapbooking. It's a great machine. I have one and love it. You may cut any true type font and dingbat directly from the WB software. You may also cut clipart using a couple of different free programs or else Illustrator CS2. It runs around $400, but, you will never need to purchase another die again! There are a bunch of yahoo groups for the WB and tons of designs that others have created to share with everybody.
Right now they are on backorder until late June, early July. Once the Cricut came out and people saw what it was, they overran WB!! I'm a WB retailer, and it's been crazy this last week. I think a lot of people were waiting to see what the Cricut could do, and once seeing it, figured the WB was a more versatile machine.
If you have any questions, please feel free to pm me.
