Default what Nestabilities to order?

If you were to order any Nestabilities sets what one would you order?

The wholesale company that I order from just started to carry them so, I can get them at a great price. I don't own a cuttlebug because I use my cricut for everything but I think that I would really love to get the Nestabilities. What sets are a beginners "must haves"?

Default Scalloped & Classic Ovals

The Nestabilities come in large and small sets and unless you want tiny, tiny, the large set makes quite small circles, ovals, etc. I had to have the ovals first. I have the ovals, circles and rectangles in both the scalloped and plain and now of course I just have to have the squares. I use the ovals the most though. The other set I use a lot is the Tag 5 set.
Have fun!

I have the circles, the ovals and the rectangles and I have to say that I use the large scallop circles the most. I have the mega rectangles on order and hoping that they will work well to make a scalloped edge along with having long scalloped rectangles.

All of them!

I haven't gotten mine yet, but I've put an order in for the circles and the squares. If I had to do it over, I'd pick ovals since I could conceivably do the squares and rectangles using other tools.

I agree you need them all But, to start, I'd say ovals too. I have all the large sets (plain and scalloped) and the ovals are the ones I reach for the most.

I have the rectangle and circle. I think it depends on what you like to do most. I love circles and the rectangle is pretty standard in my cards. But I do plan on getting all of them in the next few months. They've just been on back order that I'm not too motivated to get them now. I'll just use what I have.

Sign up for cutathome.com newsletter and get a 40% off coupon. They are also on back order.

My first set was the ovals--absolutely love them. The rectangles are on order (per a suggestion from Marcie @ cut@home that these were the second most popular) and next month with my 40% coupon I will get the circles.

Nichole over at PTI had a nice comparison as to the sizes. If you want more scallop border to show she sugests the large scallop with the small classic cut. I use my ovals and square the most so far, still waiting for the rectangles to come in. I love making frames out of these to lay over. They look so pretty once embossed.

Without a cuttlebug or some other due cutting tool, you cannot use the nesties.

I plan on ordering both the nestabilities and the cuttlebug at the same time. I just noticed that the sizzix texture plates. Can they be used with the cuttlebug as well? any thoughts?

Someone mentioned Nichole's blog post about the sizes - I found that really helpful when I was deciding what sets to get first. Here's a link:

http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capt...faq/index.html

I chose rectangles as my first Nestie shapes to get as I already had tools to cut circles and ovals. But I just got circles on Monday for my birthday, yay! I personally like the look of more scallop showing when layering so I chose Large Scallop and Small Classic sets.

Another thing to consider is whether you want the normal size scallop or the 'petite' - as far as I know, the difference is that the scallops on the petite sets are smaller so you get more scallops on the shapes. I also believe the petite scallop ovals are less rounded in shape than the normal scallop ovals.

Whatever you decide, I am sure you will love them! Have fun!

My sister and her husband own their own buisness and so my sister and I am able to get wholesale pricing with her. I think the name of the company is Treasure craft. They are a small wholesale company here in Canada. I order all my Cricut supplies and now Cuttlebug stuff through them but SU still has the best paper and ink.

My mom has tried the Sizzix texture plates with her Cuttlebug using the B & C plates plus several sheets of paper and they did not work:?

I ordered the rectangles first.

I have all (I think) the marvy punches for ovals and circles both plain and scalloped, so I figired I would start with something I didn't already have.

I show a comparison of the regular (Classic) and Petite Scalloped Circles here: http://paperfections.typepad.com/pap...inders-ne.html

I hope that helps!
