Hi folks, this is the information that is now up on the Ranger Site:
Press Release

Date 18th July 2018

Tonic Studios and My Sweet Petunia are pleased to jointly announce the amicable resolution of the parties’ recent litigation. As part of a larger agreement that anticipates an ongoing business relationship between the two companies, Tonic Studios will be ending sales of its Model 1707e and 1711e stamping platforms and dedicated accessories in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and South America. Tonic Studios will continue to sell the Model 1707e and 1711e and accessories outside of the North and South America markets.
The craft industry is a very vibrant and close community with many small and large companies that supply products across the U.S. and beyond. Tonic Studios and My Sweet Petunia are passionate about their brands and products and are pleased to have reached an agreement that will allow both parties to continue operating and flourishing without further disruption to either business.

Both parties look forward to working together as they continue to serve the crafting community.

So, if anyone really wants the TH Platform, I'd suggest you grab one now, as I'd expect this to mean that they will not be shipping any more out to US/Canada stores. It also sounds to me as though there will be a joint venture between the two companies regarding a Stamping Platform.

Hopefully, if they have a new platform (together), it will not be as horrendously expensive as the Misti is now.

Can’t find another existing thread to post this so here goes. I have two WRMK Advanced Precision presses and three spare lids. Each lid has 1 inch cracks that go all the way through starting at each peg hole. I have had these a few weeks and the spare lids are still in their packaging. So far customer service has not responded to my email/supporting photos. A stamping friend has one of these and three spare lids and is also reporting cracks in hers. Will they last forever even with cracks? These stamp great at this point but it looks like they used the wrong plastic or the wrong drill. Not feeling the ❤️.

Did you contact American Crafts or WRMK? I had emailed American Crafts CS to see if they'll be selling extra rubber pieces, since they just pop into the holes so should be easy to replace. I've wondered if being rubber, if they might crack or have less oomph over time. They wrote back within a couple days.

They were also responsive when I emailed them about a WRMK tool from way back when, replacing it even though I didn't have the receipt. They just asked for a photo on white paper showing the issue, with my name/address on the white paper.

So on the off chance you wrote to WRMK, maybe try American Crafts? In theory you'd think emails would go to the same place, but who knows.

So far they only want to send me “goodies” but not a replacement or refund. Not a good solution for me. I’ve offered to mail them back so their team can take a look. They are claiming scratches not cracks but it’s obvious they are cracks when viewed through the holes. I’ll go higher up the food chain. Thanks for the suggestion. Six pictures were sent. Pretty much of a coincidence that each scratch even on the still packaged ones originates from a hole and the pictures clearly showed that.

I am having the same problem. I just received 3 lids from Michaels with the same cracks. They are sending replacements. If these have the same cracks I will contact WRMK and American Crafts

Wow that’s great. So far a person on another forum with cracks and myself are only getting goody offers but I haven’t had a response yet from my latest email asking for replacements. That gives me hope that they will handle it this way. I like the positioner very much and would like to continue using it.

Sorry, it is Michaels that is replacing them. But based upon your post, I have the exact same issue, so if the new ones are like that I will have 6 with cracks to show them. Then it has to be a manufacturing problem. The original lids from the press do not have the cracks.

Between the two of us my friend and I have 9 cracked lids and three of those came with the positioners. They are from online Joann, Joann store, and Michael's online and all purchased within the last four weeks. Maybe they will be able to replace a batch or so and go forward. Ours actually came with the cracks. The extra lids are still in their sealed packaging. I didn't notice until I got under a stronger light that they were cracks and not scratches and then started checking my spares. If your positioners didn't come with cracks you may be OK on those.

I received the 3 replacement lids from Michaels. They all have the same cracks. One was already opened however ,and also was scratched so badly you can't see through it. I'll start contacting American Crafts tomorrow

Well here's the final reply I received. Doesn't look like they are willing to acknowledge cracks. I asked for replacements and sent pictures of the cracks which go right to the edges and can be felt with a fingernail on both sides. Until the cracks render the product unusable they are not willing to replace. By that time they will be out of warranty I expect. Hope you have better luck.

Good afternoon,

As I previously mentioned the plates that we have in inventory have the similar scars. So any replacement that we could provide at this time would be the same as what you currently own.

We have alerted our quality control department to be extra vigilant on any future productions of this item to avoid any physical or cosmetic damages.

Now we have not yet had a case where the plates have cracked to a point where they cannot be used but if for some reason yours do please let us know.
