I have a customer who needs a circle punch for some thicker cardstock (more like mat board, or a shoebox-like thickness). Is the SU! or EK Success punch made for such a thickness? I know it looks big and sturdy, but I don't have one myself.
Please let me know. Any feedback you have would be MOST appreciated. Thanks!

I've heard of people having difficulties punching more than one sheet of SU! cardstock at a time, so I'm not so sure using the punches on chipboard or matboard is such a good idea. DS is open for another couple of hours if you want to check with them!

No, you'd probably kill the punch if you used it for anything thicker than cardstock. The only way I know to cut chipboard shapes easily is with a Sizzix or other die cut machine.

I was going to say with a die cut machine also. The punch will bind and not cut all the way through. I tried it...when I worked at the scrap store and it wasn't very fun to get the chipboard out.
Thank you everyone for your replies! And here I thought "Big punch = thicker paper." But I should know from my own experience of breaking the little circle punch that these really aren't made for that. I'll look into the machine at my local scrapbook shop. Thanks!
