Default Strong odor from stamps?

Today I received my first order from Concord and 9th and while playing with the new stamps I noticed a VERY strong chemical odor. I have ordered from many stamp companies and never encountered anything like this. I had to stop using them as I was getting a headache. Has anyone else found this? Is it just a fluke? Does it go away after awhile? I love the stamps but the smell is scaring me.

Photopolymer stamps often have an odor, especially when brand new. I feel it mostly goes away with time.

Great, thanks. I have many photopolymer stamps but never encountered such a strong odor before. It is fading though so they should be good.

I do think there must be at least 2-3 manufacturers of photopolymers stamps. When a new sets comes, I can tell the difference by the odor. So it may be that it was different than others you have bought before. I am glad it is already is fading.

It's very common. I love the smell of a new stamp set but I'm weird lol. Take them out of the package for a bit to let them off gass, just like new carpet or airing out rooms that have been freshly painted.
