So is this scissors worth the $20--- I need to cut a bunch of stamps and am debating buying this scissors or just using a basic scissors I already have.
Oh most definitely! I didn't think it would be, and then I mounted a bunch of stamps with a different kind - which took forever and not the clean edges. I finally broke down and bought the stampin up scissors, and it cuts like a hot knife going through butter!!!

the only way they could be better is if they were NON-STICK. I find I like my non stick Tonics, which are SOOO not meant to be used for the rubber, and I am probably ruining them. so I trade back & forth.
BY the WAY, if you were my SU rubber snips, where would you be??? LOL (Ican't seem to find them)

My guess would be hanging out with my missing color wheel! lol
Ha ha ha! If you plan on buying a lot of stamps and mounting them...you will not regret spending the $20 on the craft & rubber scissors. I tried using my regular scissors at first and it was always such a chore to cut the rubber and my hand was so sore afterwards. My friend let me mount a set with HER SU c&r scissors- I was sold immediately!! They have made my life so much better!!
I SOOOO won't regret buying the craft & rubber scissors. In fact, its highly likely that once you buy and use them on that first set of stamps, you'll wonder why you waited so long to buy them. I know that's how I felt!

Ditto everyone else's responses. The craft scissors from SU are really phenomenal. I'm all for saving money, but these were a wonderful investment. Especially during Sellabration time when you are likely cutting and mounting a boatload of stamps
I felt the same way before I bought the SU scissors. I used to use some I bought at my LSS, and my hand always hurt so bad when I had to mount stamps. It made me dread having to mount my stamps. Then I tried my demo's and wondered why I waited so long! I just use rubbing alcohol to clean mine, and the sticky comes off. Wonderful investment!!
Once you cut a stamp set with them, you will see that they are worth way more than twenty bucks!! I had a few cheaper craft scissors and always used them to cut my stamps. Boy was my whole arm sore after those big orders came in..:-D
Frankly the only reason I got the SU ones was that they came in my starter kit when I signed up to be a demo. After the very first stamp I cut, I felt like an idiot for not getting them sooner! I cut lots of rubber and my arm has never again had that pain from my scissors.
Seriously, you won't regret it! Get them ASAP, especially during Sell-a-Bration...
I initially balked at the price tag and used to use a large pair of office shears -- and usually ended up with painful hand cramps after mounting multiple sets or an alphabet. Once I bought the C&R scissors, I wondered why I'd waited so long! They're worth every penny, and I'd probably still buy them if they cost $30 or more!

I probably cut my first 20 or so sets with my regular scissors thinking, I probably wouldn't be getting that many more sets, so why spend the money?? (HA HA HA HA HA !!) I did get them and now have like 75 stamp sets and am I glad I did~~~~!!!! Go for it!
I too bought the scissors and I love them! They are VERY sharp. I really cut my thumb (accidentally, of course). I didn't need stitches, but it was pretty bad. I'll spare you the details. Just remember - they are VERY sharp. But you will love them and be ever so glad that you invested the money. Enjoy!
I love them. I now have 4 pairs because at my workshops & clubs everyone fought over the 1 pair I had and didn't want to use my old regular scissors. So hence I ended up buying additional pairs. Almost everyone who is a regular stamper has bought their own pair from me!
You will need to clean the sticky adhesive residue off the blades after you mount a bunch of stamp sets, but it's easy to do with either alcohol (I bring the little alcohol preps with me in my scrap tote in case I need to clean them) or GooGone, my preferred option when I'm home.
I've decided to come out of lurkdom to respond eek. I would have to say absolutely buy these scissors. I have to admit I went out and bought a less expensive pair with a shorter nose when I first started, thinking I was saving a chunk of change. Oh yeah more fool me. I have nothing, nothing that compares to these scissors they cut by far and away the best. Oh and they clean up really well with some rubbing alcohol.
I just got a pair of the scissors for christmas and mounted 4 new sets I got shortly after and they are all that and a bag of chips. My demo also suggested to wipe the blades on a Versamark pad to help make cutting even easier. It also is supposed to remove the adhesive on the blades. I haven't tried this yet so I can't personally vouch for it. Just passing some info on.
I always tell new stampers to go ahead and use whatever scissors they have at home to mount their new stamps-because they will come back to me to place a second order for the scissors! And almost always, this is true! I can't tell you haw many pairs of scissors I've sold in my five years as a demo. They are worth every penny. In fact, I own three pairs and I love them so much they need to be sharpened but I don't want to send them away, in case I need to mount something before they get back from California!

Actually, VersaMark PREVENTS most of the adhesive from sticking to the blades - and I usually charge for this information, LOL!
Just open the blades slightly and swipe them across the pad, then do the other side. You can cut several SETS of stamps before you need to clean the blades - and please always clean them before putting your scissors away!

I waited and waited because the price is higher in Canda but I finally bit the bullet and got them. Now I'm wondering why I waited so long to get them. They're GREAT!
They are definitely sharper than most any other I have seen. I accidentally slipped while cutting ribbon and ended up with 4 stitches on my finger. Took it down to the joint capsule. Really sharp..
