Default Spice Racks for Eyelets/Brads Questions

I currently have them in my CTMH organizer but I really want something that sits on my workspace. I think the SU one is a little pricey but if someone convinces me it's the best thing since sliced bread I might change my mind. I'm wondering though;

How do you sort out you stuff in the spice racks? Do you go by color? Do you mix brads and eyelets? I have some themed brads but not many of any particular type. Do you put those with the different colors or keep them together? And last but not least, what spice rack do you have and do love it or hate?

Any input is greatly appreciated!

I built my own "rack"...

I got a bunch of the small round tins..attached magnets to the backs...and got a peice of sheet metal from Lowe's. Hubby rounded the edges so I don't slice myself up on it and hung it on the wall. I filled the containers and stuck them on the metal sheet. They are always right in front of my table in view and out of the way!!

I did the same thing Shell did only the magnets were not strong enough so I constantly had brads and eyelets all over my carpet. It was bad. I now use containers from WalMart that are clear cases with little clear boxes in them that are like little tic tac boxes. That way I don't lose them all to the vacuum.

What tins do you use and do the tins' lids ever fall off? Sounds like a super cool idea. Do you have a picture you could share?

Yikes! Good to know! If I go that route I'll be sure to get some strong magnets.

Can you tell by looking at the container what's in there? I think I know what ones you mean.

I used little tins from the wedding section at Target (for candy I think), and yes, the lids fell off. They were just cheepy things, not meant to be reused. I didn't take a picture of it but here's a link for the tins:

I don't have a photo...but I can work on getting you one.

I don't have any problems with the lids coming off. I got them at the a local old time pottery store. the tops are clear on most of them. I used the rare earth magnets on the backs and they haven't fallen yet. They are actually hard to take of the board sometimes.

I have two of the Stampin Up turning holders. I cant remember what they are called but all of the little containers are full. I think I might need a third one. They are so handy. I will try to take a picture and post it later. I love these.
