Spellbinders Die Carrying Case

I carry my dies back and forth with me to work a lot (I'm a LSS manager) and needed something sturdy to carry them in. CD cases were getting too heavy and cumbersome, and they break too easily. I ended up buying the Spellbinders Die Carrying Case and I really like it, except for one MAJOR problem! They don't sell refill pages for inside, nor are the ones that come with the case big enough for the larger size dies! Is there anyone that uses this case and has come up with a solution to this problem? Right now I have all the larger dies stuffed into the zippered pockets that are inside the covers, but they're getting tangled. I like the portablility of this case, but without enough pages/pockets, I have to store multiple sizes and shapes in pockets together, and it's not as organized as I'd like to be, and I don't have room for all my dies without making a big mess.

This isn't fancy, but I've been keeping mine in ziplock bags in a plastic shoebox. I should have labeled them..oh well. I wonder if you could use 4 x 6 or 5 x 7 photobooks or scrapbook pages to hold them ?

I use DVD sleeves with magnet sheet on cardstock. I store the Standard/Scallops together so the large are one sleeve and the small are another. And they're tall enough for the Labels dies also.

I use a zippered 3 hole binder with CD inserts. They are like sheet protectors for CDs. Each sheet protector can hold 4 nesties sets. I insert cardstock into each CD slot and use double stick tape to hold my dies in place. I used to use magnetic sheets - but it got way to heavy as it currently holds 80 sets. It also stores the mega sized dies and the large labels. This binder could probably hold 10 more sets after that I'd have to start a new binder. I picked up everything at my local office supply store.

Here's a link to my blog with my nesties organization ideas & it works for me....I luv it!!! This CD binder has lots & lots of pockets that I have not filled yet, I have about 3/4 of the pokets filled with nesties as of today. I buy magnetic sheets at Staples 8 1/2 X 11 & cut them in 4 sections to fit in the pockets & put the dies on them. The large long nesties and tag nesties are stored in the Quickutz Revolution magnetic storage binders, I have two of those, one is filled in with the tags nesties & the other one only has a couple of nesties in them. I bought this binder at Best Buy for under $20. regular price but it was on sale the day I went & got mine for $17. Hope this helps you.

If you are using the magnetic sheets, go to Home Depot or equivelent and buy what they sell. It comes in 3 sheets to a package and measures about 10 x 18 or so...for about $4.00 much cheaper than Staples or even wally world.

Thanks c-mouse for sharing that tip, I'll have to check Home Depot or Lowe's next time we go there. If I can save money on magnetic sheets thats more money for stamps...hahaha!!! What department would I find that in?

Here's how I store and transport my Nesties: SPELLBINDERS STORAGE.

I saw this idea on one of the Spellbinders' DT member's blog. It works great for me - I have over 60 sets, and all fit in two 3" 3-ring binders.

Karolyn. I really like your idea for storing CB folders in the Cropper Hopper Zip-N-Flit pockets.
Right now mine are in shoe box and I have to rummage through the box to find what I want

How many Zip-N-Flip storage panels WITH CB folders in them will fit in a 2 & 1/2" binder? It looks like they come with 2 pocket panels per package.


I find the 3" binders are too bulky and heavy for me

Hi Barbara!

It's a great system - wish I'd thought of it! LOL

I have five Large Zip N Flip pages per 3" binder. So, I'd say that you can fit 3-4 panels in a 2-1/2" binder with folders without any problems.

What's nice is the binders that hold the Cuttlebug folders are not heavy at all. So if you wanted to still use the 3" binder, I think you might find that you can carry them without too much effort.

Now the ones holding my Nesties are heavy. I can transport them, but I have to do it one or two at a time because of their weight.
