What is the secret to getting the SB dies to punch out the center of each scallop on the Lacey edged dies? I've tried different sandwich combinations in my Big Shot, shims, and a rubber pad. I have two new sets so I'd sure like to be able to use them. I've run the paper through with the die on it 4-5 times and it still does not cut the centers of the scallops.
Any other suggestions of things to try? Many thanks
I have the lacy edge dies and use a Cuttlebug with no problem. Same sandwich as other Nesties. I also have the beaded edge dies, which don't punch out the scallops - those scallops are just embossed. Just wanted to mention this in case you're using the beaded edge ones instead of the lacy edge dies.

I had trouble with the fleur de lis die. I ran it through four or five times before it would finally cut everything, since that is an intricate one. I used a piece of wax paper, then the cardstock then both acrylic plates and finally added a piece of cardstock as a shim on top. With the BS, spellbinders tells you to sandwich like this: multipurpose platform, nestabilities die, cardstock, two acrylic plates. I had to add the shim on top before it would cut. Others recommended the wax paper, which makes it come out of the die so easily.

Try turning it like 45 degrees and then run it through again- I use the Wizard, so I don't have any issues.
I've been wanting to order one of these, and haven't yet. Glad to hear that the wizard handled it with no problem. I love mine, as you don't have to worry about any plastic componenets that are going to crack, I need to check if it's the waltzing mouse stamps that fit these die cuts from spellbinders.

I had problems like this on my cuttlebug - i ended up having to turn the item 90 degrees and run it through again - worked much of the time - failing that, try to keep it as close to the edge of the plate as possible...think that's where the greatest pressure is. I did actually swop to a Grand Calibur and have had no issues since, even with double layers of card.
