Default layering oval punches

I was about to purchase the Marvy scalloped oval punch and the regular oval punch to layer with it. However, I've been reading here that their ovals don't layer exactly right. Are there any punches you ladies recommend? I'd like a scallop approx. 2.5" or 3" and a slightly smaller regular oval. I don't want to spend alot of money on nestabilities right now. Thanks!

If you use a 40% coupon at HL or if you order from cutathome.com and use their 40% coupon it makes the sets less than $20 a set. You could have that much spent in two or three punches depending on brand and size, and then they may not match up the way that you want them too.

Good point! Can you stamp first and them punch with the nesties? I like placing my punch exactly where I need it.

Yes, I stamp first then nestie it all of the time...haven't wrecked too many images yet (I'd say never, but my memory's not so good sometimes, so I couldn't promise that was true).
Good luck!
(40% off Cut at home+ shipping was $57 for a quad set, not even $15 a SET! definitely waaaaayyyyy cheaper than punches!)
