Question Sizzix Top Note Problem

Hi,

I just got my Sizzix Top Note Die today. I used it on Whisper White cardstock and it didn't give a clean cut. The little perforations are bumpby rather than flat and smooth and the outter edge is a little bumpy. It's kind of hard to explain, but it just doesn't have a clean cut look like I see in the picutes. Has anyone else found this to be the case?

Debbie

I haven't heard of this. Sounds like maybe they had a bad production run when they made yours??? I would see if you can exchange it for a new one. That's such a bummer!

Try an extra cardstock shim under the die to see if that helps.

If you're still not happy with the way it cuts, contact your demo and get a replacement.

I haven't had a problem with mine.

One side of the cut out will be bumpy and one side will have a clean smooth look. The clean smooth look is the right side. When putting it on a card or using it in a project of any kind the smooth look side should be right side up. The outer edge is a different story. The outter edge should give a clean cut. Are you using it in a Big Shot or Cuttlebug, in any case it should still cut out with a clean edge. Post a pic if you can of how it is looking and maybe those of us who have it can tell if what you are dealing with is normal or not.
