You'll need the magnetic converter to use any non-Sizzix stuff, but other than that it works great. I have the old machine and lots of cuttlebug dies and embossing folders.

Great!!! Because I have had the Sizzix Originals for a few years (don't use much) but loved the embossing templates Cuttlebug was offering....but did not want to buy another machine. I have the magnetic attachment, so I should be good to go then!! Thanks so much for the help Katy!!!

Have a go at it. Also, Creativexpress.com had those folders on sale sometimes. I have 17 of them. Makes up for the postage. LOL Also bought the little die that has the whale & crab on it.
be careful with the cuttlebug embossing folders.. they are so sharp that if you press too hard it'll rip your paper... I like to do 2-3 at a time to reduce the risk of tearing and if one does, the other 2 won't unless you are super scrapper.
Can you use the cuttlebug embossing templates in the Sizzix Originals machine?? If so any tips needed? Thanks for any help! Shawna
My question is other way around. I have a cuttlebug machine and love to use it. Just found the Sizzix texturz plates are cute. Wondering if these plates will work with my CB machine? And if it does, do I need to add the (Sizzix) Impressions pad and the Silicone Rubber?
I don't know about how well the sizzix works on the cuttlebug, but I did find out that the cuttlebug embossing folders worked great in my Sizzix Originals!!! So I was very happy!!!!
I use my Sizzix dies on my CB..the thick dies I just use the "B" plates and the die itself..no need to use that white plate...with the thinner dies, I use to the white pad, and 2 "B" plates..works great..it does sound like its going to crack, but it doesnt..THat is why I should of kept my Sizzix machine when the CB came out..just to be on the safe side..
