Question In search of a good printer for a scrapbooker

Hey all,

I'm in the market for a printer that will suit my scrapbooking needs. My current printer just doesn't have the color quality I would like, nor does it accommodate 12x12 paper so.....I'm calling out to all of you on your picks for great scrapbook printers. Here is what I would like it to do:

1. print good quality photos (minimum 5x7 although 8x10 might be nice on occasion)

2. I don't do digitial scrapbooking but I DO enjoy my digital fonts, so the ability to print on 12x12 paper for titles and/or journally would be nice.

3. Price - I'm not looking for for the cadillac of all printers, but quality is important, so something reasonably priced would be nice.

So...suggestions?

I find this one very cost effective to operate and seems to do everything I need it to do. I printed a 4x6 pic and it was photo lab quality.

HP Photosmart B8550

Check the HP site for a specials and google for the best price. It's probably on its way out so it's probably a better price than I got.

I am also looking into printers. Right now, I am researching the Epson Stylus Photo 1400 Ink Jet Printer and the Epson Stylus Photo R1900 Ink Jet Printer. Both are wide format printers, great for digital scrapbooking and photographers . I know that the quality of prints are great. I'm just unsure if it accepts cardstock and how delicate it would be with vellum paper. The 1400 is more affordable in terms of price so I may be getting that one
