Default Does anyone own a Wizard?

Hi I am looking into the Wizard die cutting system by Spellbinders and I like that you can also emboss and use other mfg. dies, looking for feedbacks on performance, etc.
Thanks

You can also do the same thing with a Zip E Mate which my DH bought me last year for Christmas. You roll things thru it and you can Emboss using any brass template and also use any die cut. I use Quickutz and Sizzix and their own brand of die cuts...

I have a wizard and love it.

You can also:
-emboss with thin plastic stencils, thick plastic suncatchers and I bet a variety of other things
-you can emboss images with unmounted rubber stamps. I just tried this the other day and was tickled pink with the results.

Its really easy to use and I have not had any problems with it. My only caution is the price. try to get it with a $$ off coupon, if you can.

Hope that helps!

I just got a Wizard this past weekend. It's great. My LSS ran a special order a couple of weeks ago. I have never used a Zip E Cut but the thing I will say about the Wizard is that it is all metal - the bed, the rollers and the ratcheting handle. I really like the handle - it's easier to use than the crank on my sizzix sidekick. I recommend the Wizard hands down over my big Sizzix.

Can anyone tell me what the largest size piece of paper the Wizard will accomodate?

I'm so excited I just got my Wizard today! Anyway, looks like you can fit up to
5 3/4" wide cardstock. The actual opening is ~ 6", but if you want to emboss something, the rubber embossing mat thingie is only 4" wide. Just tried embossing with a standard 1/4 sheet cs size, it worked wonderfully!

Hope that helps!

You can buy additional 12"x12" embossing mats. You can cut them down to the size you want, so you can emboss wider than 4". They offer this so you can cut an embossing mat and only cover the part of the stencil that you want to emboss. So, if you don't want the outline of the stencil to appear you can cut a mat slightly smaller than the stencil.

FYI I've had my Wizard almost a year now and I LOVE it.
