How do you guys score your cards? I really need to get something and I wanted to make sure it is worth my while and money.

I use a dry embossing tool with my Fiskars cutter--just press it down along the groove where you would run the cutting blade. A dry embossing tool is a wood dowel with a metal piece coming out the end that has a little metal ball on the end, instead of a point (which a paper piercing tool would have).

Many of the cutters have scoring blades available - I'd go with that if you have a lot to score, such as invitations or holiday cards.

However, I use my bone folder and a ruler or straight edge. Score with the tip, fold and press fold with the edge. They run about $4-5 in a craft store or from Stampin' up!

I use the scoring blade for my Fiskars cutter just have to be careful not to push to hard or you will not get the perfect "score"

I've never cared much for the scoring blade on my cutter - seems it's too sharp. You have to use light pressure, but then some paper takes more pressure...

I quit scoring, and now just line up the points, and use a bone folder.

I use the scoring blade on my fiskars cutter...and then smooth it out with my Pampered Chef plastic stone scraper since I don't have a bone folder.

I use the scoring blade on the Fiskars. I love it and have been using it for 6 years. I also use the Pampered Chef scraper even though I own a bone folder.

Oh dear. I fold the paper and press with my fingers! Cheap and fast.

Correction -- just got the Scor-It thing. Pricey but perfect.

Usually I use my bone folder. But recently I used the tip of a dried up pen. and a ruler. It really gave it a nice sharp crease. I was making 24 little pouches for my DD valentines, so I needed it to be perfect the first time. I hate having to go over something twice because I didn't push hard enough with the bone folder. With the pen, I didn't have tp puch hard at all and I got a great crease. I put a piece of fun foam under it, also. Worked great! I always seem to lose the soring blade for my trimmer.

I use a bone folder. So many times when I score with my Fiskars it just doesn't come out even and then I end up with a wonky looking card once it's folded. The bone folder works the first time, every time!

I use a bone folder lined up with a straight edge, mostly because my dog ate the scoring blade on my cutter. But it seems to work fine.

Okay, I'll admit it, I bought the Score-It tool. And it has turned my scoring life around!!!
I was completely scoring impaired. Tried with the Fiskars cutter, tried the Cutterpede scorer, bone folder and ruler. It was always a 50/50 shot on if it would be straight. Now I can score like a pro. Nugget boxes are so easy.
It took me about twice to get the hang of what I was doing and have never had a problem since. Yes, it is not cheap but man, for me, sooo worth it!

I use the black scoring blade that came with my trimmer and then I crease the fold with this little plastic thingy that they sell for adhearing rub-ons. Michael's carries them 2 in a pack and they are about $2-3 FAR less than a bone folder!

I've tried several things, but I always come back to my bone folder and groove of my Fiskars trimmer.

I use my Fiskar's cutter and bone folder. I've tried using the black scoring blade that comes with the cutter but I always end up cutting the paper.

I usually end up with the bone folder--sometimes in the groove of my Fiskars Triple Track. When I use the scoring attachment, I feel like my fold goes crooked. Probably operator error. :-)
