What do you like or dislike about these three. Is one better than the rest? I read some bad things about the Topscore, but I have also read that competitors can plant a bad reivew. What do you have and why did you pick it over the other? I just want to get one that will be easy to use and let me make precise folds!
I have the Score Pal and like it a lot. I use it every time I stamp and love the precise folds I get with it. It's great for making unusual cards, like tri-folds and accordion folds.
I also want to put in a word for another product I got from Home Shopping. It is called the Crafters Companion/Enveloper. It is a similar product, but a little cheaper for both pieces. I like it better for making envelopes than the Score Pal.

Thanks for the imput! I have heard great things about the Crafters Companion/Enveloper, but bad things about the Topscore you get with it as a set on HSN. I really don't need an enveloper as much as a regular scorer.
Love my Scor-Pal. Have tried Score-It and didn't like it as much. I had one gal in a class I was teaching this morning that she finds her wrist gets sore when she uses her Score-It. I made 75 birth announcements using my Scor-Pal a few months ago and didn't have any soreness afterwards.
I also love that the bone folder has a spot in the Scor-Pal... perfect!
I've also used the Enveloper and top Score, but would never trade them for my Scor-Pal
I've only had my Scor-pal a couple weeks and from the 2nd score I loved it. I messed up the first score by pressing too hard. I haven't used any of the other scoring tools so I can't compare. I love my Scor-pal so I have no desire to try anything else.

Before I bought my Scor-Pal I bought a TopScore.. JUNK!!! sorry .. but I didn't like that it kept nicking the bottom of my paper on the crease... so I asked a friend what scoring system they had and they said they had a Scor-It, but that they wouldn't recommend it to anyone.. so I went with Scor-Pal and LOVE IT!!! I bought one for my mom for Mother's Day and she loves it too!!
Pam
*ps. I gave away that TopScore yesterday ~ maybe they can get it to work better for them, I have had that some people really like it.

We did a comparison at stamp club with score-it and scor- pal. Scor-pal won hands down. So much easier to use. I like that it is lightweight and holds the tool. Also like the projects they have on there website.
I just recently bought the Scor-It Mini. I can't compare it because
I haven't used the others, but I'm happy with mine. It's easy to use,
it gives crisp lines, and the mini is portable.
I bought the top score and enveloper from hsn. I like the way the score lines are marked. Instead of being marked in inches, they have labels like gatefold U.S. letter, and half fold U.S. letter. I used a friend's scor pal this w/e and screwed up a fold because I thought 4 1/2 was 4 1/4. Big bonus to the top score - the box maker and the enveloper. Size is compact too. One complaint I have is that the scoring tool is too thick. I switched to using a Pampered Chef pan scraper to make my score marks and I've been much happier.

I have and love my scor it. However I have never heard anything bad about the scor-pal. I might even get one but I would still use my scor-it for basic card scores because I prefer that style of score. I'd like to get the scor-pal for the other projects that you can do (ones that don't require folding).
Ditto, Gale!
I will probably get a Scor-Pal in the near future, but have had my Score It for over a year and really love it. I think the Scor-Pal has more versatility and will probably get one just for that reason. I don't think I will give up my Score It though, because you get such a professional fold with it. (I did 200 invitations for a print marketing professional - the thing he said he was most impressed with was the scoring.)

But that's really all the Scor-It is good for (a single card score), so $60 (that's what we sell them for atleast) is pretty expensive for just that IMO ;)

Thank you evereyone for all the imput - it looks like the Scor-pal is the most popular! We have no independent stores here so I have to place to try one out so all of your information is extra valuable! Now off to try and find the best price/service/shipping!
I can't get a scoring platform yet but I do plan to add one to the birthday wishlist my DH will get in a minth or so.
My main concern is the markings. I own 2 paper trimmers because one has clearer markings for 5.50 inches and the other has better markings for 4.25 inches. It can be a real nuisance if I am making a lot of cuts (although I try to use subtraction and make my cuts at different markings).
I would also like very clearly labeled markings in 16ths of an inch. I don't want to score between 2 markings because no two will ever be exactly the same, kwim?
TIA ... 'coz if I put one on my wishlist and actually get it I will not be getting another similar tool so it will either be used or stored on a shelf.
I have the scor it. It takes up a lot of space and 99% of the time my card sides are uneven. Grr. I'd like to get the scor pal, but I can't justify spending even more just to score paper. I just trim my cards so that they are a rectangle!
