Default scallops with the slit punch

please tell me how this is done! I've looked everywhere and can't find directions, I tried it at home with less than pleasing results......

It's easy! Flip the punch over, so you can see what you're doing. Start in the middle and push the paper into the punch as far as it will go and punch. Now move the punch to the right just enough so it lines up with the one just punched. Make sure the paper is all the way in again and punch. Continue to the right until you get to the edge. Now go back to the middle punch and move to the left this time until to get to that edge. Have fun -

or... my favourite way is to use the corner punch. take the guard off, flip it over to see what you're doing. start at the left side of the paper and punch scallops toward the right, lining up with the scallop just punched.
