Just a warning to those who have the Tim Holtz Idealogy ruler - do not clean it with OMS! I use mine as a block for unmounted text stamps so I can stamp them straight, and I had some adhesive residue on it. I just grabbed my OMS, not thinking...I guess I assumed the grid was embedded in the plastic like some of the acrylic blocks I have, not just stamped on. Wiped right off. I'm so bummed...I love that ruler, for the metal edge, piercing guide, but especially for the grid on it! I've written to Ranger so we'll see what happens....anyway, don't do what I just did!
Dini.....I wouldn't use any kind of harsh cleaner on anything plastic. OMS is not really a cleaner anyway. Stick with plain mild detergent and warm water and some elbow grease (rubbing).
Just wanted to pop back in and say that I contacted Ranger and they are sending me a replacement ruler. Happy about that!
YAY!
Also, don't try Go Gone, it did the same thing to mine. I taught a class down at my LSS and somehow someone, I have no idea who, got glue all over mine so I need to clean it. Not thinking I grabbed the Go Gone and rubbed away - some of the numbers and grids are gone.
I went to Michaels and bought a new one with a coupon.
