Default QuicKutz questions

1. Can I use the Quickutz dies with the Cuttlebug?

2. Will QuicKutz dies cut chipboard?

Yes, you can use Quickutz dies in the Cuttlebug. Check out the Cuttlebug FAQ thread here. There is a chart with all the "sandwiches" for using the different dies and how to position the plates.

I believe the Quickutz are not strong enough to cut chipboard.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong on this.

From the Quickutz website:

Quote:

The QuicKutz Squeeze and Revolution tools have been designed to cut all sorts of paper types from thin printer paper to thick cardstock. We have found, however, that they may cut a variety of other materials, such as vellum, sticker paper, wire & paper mesh, and certain specialty papers.

Dies cut with the Squeeze tool can deliver more force and may cut additional materials such as lightweight chipboard, craft foam, cork, thin metals & metalic paper, and stiff fabrics.
I wouldn't get my hopes up on it cutting chipboard based on the statement above.

Only steel rule dies cut chipboard and materials other than paper and card (like Sizzix Originals, Bigz etc). QuicKutz, Sizzix Sizzlits and Spellbinders dies are classed as wafer dies and those will not.

I find Cuttlebug dies interesting 'cos they look like wafer dies and are not as thick as steel rule dies - but you can cut chipboard with them.
