Hi Shawn!!!

Thanks for the suggestion on the craft knife. I actually have this one (along with many others) and I too prefer this one. I purchased my through PaperWishes.com.

I don't know why I am so "knife" challenged??? I take my time I line up the metal ruler and I go to great lengths to make sure the ruler does not move...but it seem that the knife just slips away for the ruler. If that makes sense...I think that is why I LOVE die cut machines.

Do you think it is the cutting surface...no...wait...I have used self healing, magnetic, glass mats...and I always mess it up.
