Rosie - subbing is one way to start receiving emails when someone adds a reply to a thread. The better way is to use the THREAD TOOLS at the top of the page. If you use that you can subscribe to the post and choose how often you want to be notified.

Another term you will is is "bumping" - ladies do this to keep the thread current and closer to the top of the list in the forum so that it will be noticed again.
