I'm making an advice index card gift for my daughter's baby shower next month & I'm trying to find this wooden box to put the cards in & can't find it anywhere. I had put these pictures on my PC years ago when I came across these & forgot to put down the blogger who made them. Now I can't find out who made them so I can ask her where she got the wooden boxes. Does anyone know who made this project or where I can find this wooden box? I would truly be forever grateful for your help. Thank you.
Actually that looks like a basic box that's missing the lid.
I didn't find the exact one like that. BUT, you could try the Forhoja box from the desk set at Ikea. It comes in three colors and is fairly inexpensive. I believe you could stain the birch box to whatever color you want.
<HR style="COLOR: #cdccde; BACKGROUND-COLOR: #cdccde" SIZE=1> I agree it looks like a recipe box for 4x6 cards with the lid removed. If that size would work for you, there is one on Michael's website: ArtMinds Wooden Recipe Box
It may be available in the store, or at other craft stores like Joann, Hobby Lobby, etc in their woodcrafts department. Since it's a recipe box one may also be available in a store that specializes kitchen items. Many year ago that's where I found one I needed for a gift.
I finally got to The Container Store & they have the wooden boxes without the lid if anyone is interested. I ended up buying a clear acrylic one & I love how it looks with the advice index cards. After the baby shower I will post a picture. Thank you all for your help.
