Default Paper ?

For those of you who use non-SU paper, what brands do you like, where do you get it, etc. I'm looking at both plain, solid colors (good for cards) and patterned papers good for accents on cards.

I know Basic Grey is really popular and I'm first getting out from under my rock to see what the craze is all about.

Thanks for sharing!

I like PTI's white ~ it's fantastic! It's the best for making a card base, it's very heavy. I only use SU or Bazzill for colored CS. For pattered paper on the other hand there are sooooooo many! Basic Grey, Cosmo Cricket and Crate are just a few of my faves.

I love all the company's mentioned for patterned paper! I also love Chatterbox (at least, the old stuff...haven't seen the new lines yet), and My Mind's Eye (they put out the Wild Asparagus stuff). Very pretty for cards!

I like Bo Bunny, My Minds Eye and Dream Street. I think I am one of just a few people who doesn't like Basic Grey paper

I like PTI white for card bases. I've been on a DCWV kick with their textured, white core cardstock - it's perfect for sanding the edges and distressing. For patterned paper I'm also a big fan of K&Company. I love their little matte stacks and 12x12 pads, it's nice and heavy and they have great embellishments to match.

My all time favorite is basic grey though... it's really hard to beat!

I like to use the DCWV textured paper and Bazzill...for solids. Then, I like to mix in different papers from The Angel Company because our designer papers (both Basic Grey weight and paper weight) finally are matching these solid cardstocks.

I'm with the Papertrey Ink Stamper's Select bandwagon. The 110 pound weight is so very awesome for card bases, and it takes ink fabulously.

For patterned paper I really like Daisy D and Sassafrass Lass designs as well. Go to a place like blackberrypaper.com and you can browse through tons of different companies' papers. It's dangerous!

Wow, y'all actually know the names of the companies of the paper you purchase! That is amazing to me. I just purchase what I like. I only know of 2 companies that I purchase, Bazzill, because of the texture. I usually use that as the actual card as sometimes it's hard to get a good stamp image. The other company I know is Basic Gray, I like some of their stuff. I did purchase a Figgy pudding set, like pretty much everything in the pack. I buy my paper at Archivers. Most of the solid 8.5 x 11 is from The Paper Company (i looked on the back of the paper) sometimes the paper is too thin for my liking. I happen to absolutely love the red linen and spirit red paper. Gosh it's gorgeous! Otherwise I just go for the pattern or color!

The only one I know by name without looking it up is my white, which is Beckett Expression, sold by Marco's Paper. LOVE LOVE LOVE this stuff! Has a nice hard surface for ink, watercolor, marker, embossing--just about anything.

Otherwise, I'm between papers. I like the DCWV textured papers (white core), and I get a lot of their smaller value packs for card fronts.

I got some this fall called "ColorMates" at a LSS--I like it so far.
