Question Opinions on the Spellbinder's Nestabilites

What are your opinions on the Spellbinder's Nestablities?? I just purchased a Cuttlebug to emboss with before I realized that Spellbinder's had a machine. Darn. I really would like to have some of the Nestablities template (circle, scallop, oval). I know lot's of you have them. Do you like them? Do you use them alot? Will I have any problems using them with my Cuttlebug? I have gone through several posts and found different sandwich suggestions for using them with the Cuttlebug. Bottom line...are they worth the money? Would it be a good investment? Thanks for all your help!!!

The Nestabilities will work with your Cuttlebug. I have a Big Shot (Ellison's - same as the Sizzix Big Kick), and they work fine. I have the large Scalloped Rectangles and Ovals. It takes a little practice, but once you get it, you will love it. I got mine from Cut@home, and the prices were super, and I am very pleased with their customer service, I especially like their 40% monthly coupons;)

I use my Nestabilities in my Cuttlebug all the time. I use it for cutting and embossing the Nestabilities. I think it is a very good investment. I was just starting to buy some of the Marvy punches in the various shapes, but they took up so much space. You can buy a whole set of 5 -6 of the Nestabilities for a little more than the price of one punch, and they take up much less room. I store my Nestabilities in CD cases and have the entire set of regular and scalloped circles, squares, rectangles, and ovals. I want to get the petite circles and ovals next!

As far as the sandwiches for the cuttlebug, it seems that everyone's machine is a little different. Some are "tighter" than others. That's why everyone's stacks are a little different. It's better to start out with the slimmest stack, and if that is not thick enough start shimming with pieces of paper or cardstock. It may take about 10 minutes of experimenting to figure out what works best with YOUR machine.

YES!!!!! I have a Cuttlebug and the rectangle and oval nestabilities sets. I LOVE using them!!! I cut and emboss with them frequently (so order that tan mat also). They are so reasonable in price...compared to buying a sleugh of punches...and so much easier to store. I HIGHLY recommend them!

I bought the Cuttlebug to use with the Nestabilities. They work great! I've followed the sandwich stacks found on the threads here. I think you have to play around a little with the thicknesses of the stacks because each bug is different. Mine creaks a lot when I am cutting so it's a little scary ;) and the B plate is all marked up.....

The only problem I have is the embossing part-- it's never as "embossed" as I've seen on other people's cards.

I love my nestabilities. I have the rectangles and now have the circles on order. The cut@home website is down I think so I can't give you the url.

It's www.cutathome.com

And yeah it's down now... :(

Apparently too many people found out about the 40% off Nestabilities. Haha.

Glad I already got my order though last week!

Actually, Cut @ Home's website is www.ucutathome.com - and I just went there. It's up and runnin'!

I use the Nestabilities with my Cuttlebug. Had to experiment just a bit to get the embossing just right, but it didn't take long and I'm so pleased with the results.

Oooo it IS working now.... and www.cutathome.com works as well, but I did just notice that it automatically converts it to *ucutathome*.

I love my nestabilities and wish I had known these were coming out when I ordered my marvy punches. I can get like 20-22 dies of scallop and plain shapes for the prices of 3-4 punches. I have the rectangles, circles and ovals and will be getting the squares soon too. I use them in my cuttlebug - I found the sandwiches on Nicole's blog at PaperTrey work the best for me. I recommend getting the spellbinders tan embossing mat as it makes it so much easier.

I absolutely love the nestabilities dies. I have all the squares, rectangles, circles and ovals and I just bought the hearts and stars. I use them all the time and cannot imagine how I did without them. A lot of my punches had gotten dull, sticking, one broke...this is so much better and takes up 1/10th the room.

For those of you that have purchased items from [email protected] you explain what types of coupons you get each month. I know that I want the circle and oval nestabilites. Should I buy them both now and use my 40% off coupon on one set or only buy one set now and wait until next month. Are the monthly coupons item specific? Thanks! You guys are great!

Yes. But just like all the other die cutting machines, you will have to find the right sandwich combinaton. Oh, but the sweet reward once you've found it!

I would also like to know how well the Nesties work in a regular Sizzix. I know there are sandwich recipes out there, but has anyone used them, and do they really work? Or am I gonna have to buy the Wizard??? (Don't own the Bug 'cause the Sizzix works for them! So if I buy anything, it will be the Wizard.)
Hoping someone on this fabulous site has an answer for Lori and me!!!

Marcia,
You posted before I could get my question posted. Do you have the Sizzix? And it really works for the Nesties?
Thanks.

GO FOR IT GIRL!! gET THE nestabilities! I use with my Cuttlebug all the time. I own the Wizard too by the way. It's great for setting multiple eyelets at once, smashing bottlecaps and other stuff. Super investment. If I had to suggest one or the other to people it would be the Cuttlebug. The Wizard seems to be difficult or awkward for people.

I want to get some of the nestabilities but can't seem to find them anywhere! Are they only available through online retailers? With the CB, will a chipboard or rubber shim work with the nesties? TIA

Love the Nesties! I get mine directly from the Spellbinders website. I go to www.spellbinders.us and place my order online, enter my credit card info and they get shipped directly to me. No middle man to go through and not as long waiting to get the product. They have rectangles, ovals, circles, and squares.
Great investment and very easy to use with my CB.
