Default Nestabilities dilema......

I am going to start collecting all the sets...but not sure which one to get first the square or the rectangle. Any advice????

TIA

It's a personal preference and if you are going to end up collecting them all. You wont be making a bad choice with either set or squares or rectangles.

I have them all. I like the squares to make openings in card fronts. But I like using the rectangles to create little "to/from" tags. Just cut, emboss and fold in 1/2. But you can create little cards using the squares, just fold your paper in 1/2 first and don't let the folded edge cover one of the cut edges. (hope that makes sense)

Good Luck and Happy Collecting.

What Kar said ... if you're going to collect them all, it won't matter too much which ones you get first. I use rectangles more often than squares, but that's only a personal preference.

I started with the rectangles. The squares will be last ones I get.

I would look at the stamps you're likely to use them with and decide from there. Most of the images I was thinking of were tall or wide so I chose ovals & rectangles to start.

I do not own any Nestabilities, but I'm thinking I would LOVE to have the rectangles.

I LOVE my Nestabilities. If you're going to collect them all, it doesn't really matter which ones you get first. HOWEVER, I use my rectangles way more than the squares, but I think it's just a personal preference thing. Good luck!

I also have been buying one set a month using the cut at home coupon. ......a good savings and now have all except for the paisley.

I decided to get the hearts this month rather than waiting until January because Cut at Home often takes weeks to get their nesties in stock. i really wanted the hearts to use for Valentine's day.

I think no matter what set you'll get you will love it!!

I bought the rectangles first, thinking I would emboss note cards with them. They're a little smaller than I expected...so havent' done the note cards. But I will do MANY things with them!!!

I just ordered the ovals. Wish I had ordered the ovals first. But yeah...as long as you get them all!!!!

I just got the tan embossing mats for Christmas!!!! I'm so pumped!

I bought the rectangles first. I love them. Now I don't know which ones to get next. I am thinking circles or ovals.

Good luck with them. They are so neat.

I started out with the rectangles, plain and scalloped. I am also doing the 40% coupon purchases from cut at home until I have them all.

Do you have to buy them all to get the 40% at cutathome?

Hobie,

You have to register at the Cut@Home site
http://www.ucutathome.com/

Once you do they will send you an online 40% coupon to use for the month. There are some restrictions but you can use them for the Nestabilites and if you get a complete set it's a great savings.

The coupon is sent out the beginning of the month, usually the first but I'm not sure if they'll send it out the first or second for January.

The 40% off from Cutathome is only off one item per month (I think). I just ordered the complete rectangle set and think I'll get the ovals next month :-) Mine just shipped so I'm anxiously awaiting their arrival.

So, to answer the OP's question, I'd go for the rectangles before I got the squares.

So they sell all the sets (small circles, large circles, small scallop circles, etc) but then I see they also sell them all together as one complete set. And you can use the coupon on those as well?? What is their shipping like?

Michelle,

You can use the coupon on only one item per month. However yes you can use it for either one single set of nesties or one of the complete sets (all nesties of one shape) which retails for about $80.00 (I don't recall the exact amount)

I don't remember the shipping, I don't think it was too bad but overall it is a good savings if you are getting a complete nestie set.

I bought the plain squares first; perfect for making embossed note cards like these beauties by Bethanypaull:
Classic Sympathy by BethanyPaull at Splitcoaststampers
I got the whole set of ovals next from Santa!

Thanks!! I just got my e-mail with the coupon code. I *was* doing so well not spending ~~ I spent $50 at a SU party last July, & probably $50 total the rest of the year on little odds & ends at Michael's & such. And now ~~~ I'm about to blow roughly that amount in one sitting

But thank you!! I'd never heard of this website & it IS a good deal

I ended up getting the circles first. I asked DH what he thought & he looked at the cards I had made that are saved on my computer and told me to go with the circles and that would challenge me to do new things.

Do the hearts have an embossed edge like the other nestabilites? From the pictures of them I can't tell.

I just ordered the ovals with my 40% coupon. I am going to try to get a set a month. These are so cool, I was just saying to a friend that they needed to come up with something like this because the punches are so expensive and big and bulky.

Looking forward to getting them soon so I can play!
