For some reason I seem to use the circles the most. I like layering the classic and the scallops. I love the scallops! Next would be rectangles. I don't use my squares much and I don't have the ovals yet.
I thought I would use the circles/scalloped circles the most, but now that I have them ALL, I've found I use the ovals/scalloped and the rectangles/scalloped the most. The squares remain my least-used.
I received my first 2 sets of Nesties today - I went for the rectangles first as I don't have any punches or dies in that shape already. I chose the large scallop and the small classic shapes as I prefer more of the scallop to show when layering.
I love them and I'm already debating what shape to get next - so I'll be watching this thread with interest!
i think I'm gonna get the circles first...if you order from cutathome.com you can use the 40% VIP coupon! I'll have an oder every month until I get them all! hooray!
Question for you oval users. I have the purple Marvy Uchida oval scalloped punch. Which set of the nestabilities plain ovals would work best with that? I noticed that there is a large set, a small set, and a petite set. Please help!
I don't have them yet- but I will get my first set next week! I meet monthly for a swap at my LSS and we started a nestabilities club. I think we are getting the scallop circles this month. They are pretty darn cool.
I think I use them all equally. I went back and looked at my most recent cards, and I had a few more rectangles then any of the others. I have both the small and large sets of each kind and use them both equally- just depending on the stamp size.

I'm also interested in the nestabilities... how do I get the VIP coupon?

I don't use the classic sqares or rectangles much at all. Straight edge shapes are easier to just cut with my cutter than to pull out my cuttlebug. All the scalloped edged ones I use regularly, since I find that much easier than making scalloped edges with my corner or slot punches. If I need a frame or to cut a large window on a card front, then I use the squares and rectangles.
I don't know if this was already mentioned, but if using more than one layer on a card front, the middle layer can have the center of the paper removed using the nesties, before covering it with the next layer. Saves paper ;)
Just wanted to let you know that I bought the ovals/scallop oval set....thanks for all your input. I'm sure I will buy another set after I get this one....Thanks again!
Definately get the circles first if you are undecided. Get the straight edge and aslo the scalloped. Not only do you have layers for your stamped images in mutilple sizes you also have flowers in all of the scallop sizes. Checkout my gallery, it is on the top of the daisy tin. I have made cards using the smaller ones but I haven't uploaded these as yet. I was very pleased that I thought of another use, just justifying the expense LOL . I only got mine about 2 weeks ago but I am in love with them. I bought the standard circles and the scallops in small (not petite) now I am going to get the the other circle sizes.
I neeeeeeddddd them !
