I bought some of the vinyl today at hobby lobby. The directios with the vinyl talks about using transfer tape. Do I need this? I just want to cut letters to put on plaques. Please give me any tips you have before I cut into my vinyl.
Also, where is the best place to purchase the vinyl? I looked at Lowe's (someone here mentioned that) and they said they don't carry it.
Lastly, does anyone have any projects they can post that they have made with vinyl?
I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR VINYL SHEETS AS WELL. I DIDN'T KNOW WHERE TO GET IT. MY DH WANTS TO CUT LETTERS WITH THE CRICUT TO PUT ON THE BACK WINDOW OF HIS VEHICLE FOR ADVERTISING HIS BUSINESS.
I saw the vinyl sheets on line at Oh My Crafts. Good luck with this as i didn't try it yet. I have the cricut and the cricut expression and LOVE the expression due to the large size otherwise they are the same design. Kiki
My cricut vinyl is still in the box. I am waiting until I get the design studio software so I can weld the letters together. The stuff from Lowes is called wall pops.
An easy alternative to finding vinyl... rolls of drawer/shelf liner. It comes in rolls and can be found at most supermarkets and hardware stores. I found the coolest faux metal stuff at home depot. They are adhesive backed with liner.. so cut, peel and stick. Hope that helps!
