Need help, is Tape Depot still the cheepest for ATG refills?
I need to purchase a large number of refills and am looking for the best deal. I have only purchased from Tape Depot before. I like their product but am open to try a new company, if you've been happy with the product, price and service.
They were when I ordered refills a couple of months ago. If someone has found anyplace that can beat them for price and quality I haven't heard about it.

Thanks Marla, are you happy with your purchase? I have the Tape Depot tape gun. Will this tape work with it?
Has anyone else tried this tape?
Any more ideas?
Marie
You can check their site to make sure there is no compatibility issues with your model gun. My gun is about 10 years old so I don't know about the new ones. I have ordered multiple times with FindTape and never had a problem.
I too order from framing supplies. I buy the 924 1/4 x 36yd for 2.40 and I usually put together an order with a few people to share shipping. I think last time I order 49 rolls and shipping came out to 11 something. Can't beat the price and custoemr service!
I may try that 1.25 a roll also. I have been buying the scotch, but for this price I will try it! I am just waiting to see if my friends want in. The last time my order was so large, the company delivered to my house. We are in the same state and I am close to one of their other stops! Hooray for me!

Including shipping it's still cheaper to order from Armel - huh!
But it looks like you ladies beat me to it - because they only have 3 rolls left and it's not cost efficient to order 3 rolls.
Should have done the math sooner
Send them an email or give them a call. They usually have more in stock. (I needed 72 rolls and it only showed 7, but when I sent an email, they confirmed they had more)

Thanks for the info!
After reading several threads, ordered an ATG gun and it arrived Monday with a free roll of tape. Used the whole roll in one afternoon - couldn't believe I went through 36 yards - thought for sure it was a small sample roll - so I measured it. :???:
Yup, I used 36 yards of tape in an afternoon - so you can see why it's important to find the cheapest price.
The only problem with this tape is that is labelled at ph neutral but not acid free. I use the scotch gold because I scrapbook as well. I also want to put my cards in the scrapbook and not have them discolor from the other tape. Maybe that is just my weird thinking.

Actually, I could be wrong, but I think "pH neutral" and "acid free" mean virtually the same thing (pH neutral = 7 and acid free = 7 or right around 7). I found this on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acid-free_paper. Hope this helps! Maybe you can save a little money!

What is Armel's email address? I can't find it anywhere in the store. Thanks!
I know this is an old thread - but I'm needing my ATG refills (I used SCAPA tape before from findtape.com) - BUT the shipping to Canada (for 2 guns for friends and a case of tape) is OVER $100. Yikes! Any help out there? Thanks!

The The Tape Depot is the least expensive place to order for Canadians. If your order is over $50, the shipping is free. Of course, the items may be a little more expensive than a couple of the other places that are cheaper, but as you found out, the shipping they charge pushes the net cost way up. I think FindTape is about $1.50 per roll of 1/4" ATG tape. The Tape Depot is $1.95. But when I put the same amount of tape I order from the Tape Depot into my shopping cart at FindTape (36 rolls), they wanted over $35 for shipping, but it with that many rolls, its free shipping from the Tape Depot. So the cost is lower from The Tape Depot.
For some unknown reason, the Armel Co. link does not work for me. I just get an error message. I think is the company where I originally bought my ATG. Just after I bought my ATG, they stopped selling to individuals. It sounds like they have the best price so I would like to check them out for my craft group.

The Tape Depot is my go-to source for ATG refills. And if you're wanting a CASE of tape, the cost per roll is $1.17. (That's 144 rolls for $168.00). This tape fits the 3M red ATG or the pink one they've put out. There is a difference between these two: the red ATG is for industrial use and the ATG stands for Adhesive Transfer Gun; the pink was introduced for crafters and the ATG stands for Advance Tape Glider.
I have two of the red ATG's (yes, I use both of them) and wouldn't waste my time or money on one of the pink versions.
Hope this info helps!

What is the name of the tape you all use? I can't seem to sort them out.
This is the one I order for my pink ATG. Its also acid free, which is good, since I scrapbook as well and didn't want to have to switch out the tape or have two dispensers.
