i have the fluer de lis ....i CAN NOT get the paper out...any tips...i have tried everything...it tears all my card stock...i turn it....use a special little tool to punch out the holes....but the paper is still stuck....i need this figured out before my class next week....disappointed in this product....and the one that i am having the most trouble out of is the little one that comes with it....
susanwmsrn......Yes they do get stuck tight in the die. I use the tip of a paper piercer to gently pry out the corner of one edge and then I can get my fingers on it to again, gently pull the cut paper out of the die.
Just take your time to get it out so you don't tear the paper. Takes time, but be delicate and take your time.
Use the paper piecer to poke out any tiny pieces of the cut out design, do this from the back of the die.
Susan - yes, that die has tried my patience as well!
The trick to getting the cardstock out easily (along with the pokey tools mentioned) is to layer a piece of wax paper between the die and the cardstock before you cut. Try it and you'll be amazed at how much easier it is to remove your cardstock - you'll still need a paper piercer or something for a little help, but you won't tear another bit of cardstock trying to remove it from the die.
Please please please try a piece of waxed paper between the die and the cardstock or paper you are cutting...the paper will very easily slide right out...I love this. I have made a lot more cards with the more intricate dies since I have tried this. You will love the result!

I use the embossing buddy! The powder sort of acts as a non-sticking agent. It releases pretty easily. For the more intricate holes, I still use my stylus. I just wipe it down when I am done to remove any powdery residue!
As with a lot of the Spellbinders dies that are more intricate, I use the piercing tool and Slice spatula that has a somewhat pointed end. The Cricut spatula doesn't have a pointed tip but the Slice spatula does. Anything like this that is thin is good.
I Pierce, then push up one area and work the spatula around to release the finer areas.
Just remember to go slow and you'll do fine.
As this happens with all the Spellbinders dies that are intricate , just be aware.
They are still worthwhile.

Betty,
This is a great idea! I will have to try this. I use the waxed paper method and it works everytime! The embossing buddy sounds a little easier!!
