Question Marvy Extra-Giga Punches vs. the Slice

So I was looking at buying a couple of the Marvy punches in a couple of different sizes (I already have 2 of them) and then I thought, if I buy just a few of these, I might as well buy a slice instead and I can get the same shapes. Seems like a no-brainer to me...what do you all suggest?

My only concern is that on the basic shapes set the scalloped circle doesn't seem as "scalloped" as the punches...does that makes sense? It looks more flower like than a scalloped circle. Am I just looking at the wrong set or is the little thumbnail I see online just misleading?

Personally, I prefer the Nestabilities and my Cuttlebug to make shapes. There was a thread about the Slice a while back and people were having issues with it.

I guess I'm just old fashioned at heart. I always worry about electronic/electric gadgets malfunctioning. I much prefer the Cuttlebug that works with "hand power."

I'd go with Nesties over a Slice. I returned my Slice because the cuts were so distorted. Many people had the same problems or are now, after a few weeks/months, experiencing them (though, to be fair, there are people who love their Slices).

Nesties are perfect every time AND you can choose to emboss your cut as well.

I also have most of the Marvy punches. I'd go with them over a Slice, too. (But I'd go with Nesties first -- always!)

Can you tell I was totally unimpressed with the Slice? I used coupons and got it for half price and it still wasn't worth it (to me).

i have all of the things mentioned (marvy punches, nesties, and the slice) and i use them all!!! i don't use the slice for nested circles like what you want to do, but i use it more for letters, and shapes etc.... i will pull out my punches if i'm lazy (haha) and use my nesties if i want that clean, embossed look.
