Got mine yesterday, walked into one of our Michaels and did not expect to find it. I had looked in 4 other M's with no luck last week. There were about 6 others on the rack at the Michaels in the RIM center in San Antonio. I played with it today and love it.
I only have this one and not a scor-pal but I love it. Made gate fold ATC's like they were nuthin'. The tool is pretty cheap but I have an empressor roller ball scorer kinda thing and it works well in the grooves. I am so please with how easy this thing is to work with.
still waiting here for mine. We only have one Michaels in my area. The truck comes in on Monday. I was there yesterday afternoon and they were already out!
A ?....if you've purchased the MS Score Board, and already have the Scor Pal, are you keeping or selling the Scor Pal? I'm tempted to keep my Scor Pal , but I really do LOVE the new MS Score Board! Purchased it last night at M's with a coupon - those 1/8 in. increments are wonderful, and such clean, sharp scores!

I have my scor-pal listed for sale or trade in the forums here, but I am debating if I should keep it. I was thinking that it would be nice to have two scoring boards for when I am making cards with friends.
You are all so lucky, theres not a cat in hells chance of us getting
hold of one over here(UK). Even if we did they would be a lot more
expensive than you pay. Gill

I could see if my Michael's store has any more, but shipping to you would probably be expensive.
Patty, thats so kind, if you have the time and can look into it
I would appreciate it. One of our major wesite owners has admitted she stands no chance of getting them, she has to plead to get MS
punches . She is over at the big craft fair this week but doesnt think she would get any. .:-D Gill

Okay, I'll check my local Michaels store and I'll let you know if they have any more. When I was there two weeks ago they had two left, but they might be gone by now.
There were about 6 of them on the peg at the Michaels in Humble, TX yesterday. That is, until I bought one of them! Also had to get the pink blinged out bone folder as advised by earlier poster who now owes me $8!
Ok, I finally found someone at our Michales who knew what I was talking about when I called and asked AGAIN for the MS score board. Got one yesterday and can't wait to get home today and try it out. Thank you everyone for the great information and the tips. Used my 50% off coupon and bought it for $10.00. A friend picked it up for me and she is going back today to get her one. lol
Is there a 50% off coupon on here somewhere that I can print off??? I have someone on here checking for me one as I am recovering from surgery.
Kindly

i'm soooo excited!!!! i had a friend enable me today. while i have been looking for one of these i was trying to behave and save up some money for a pti order. but this friend dragged me to mike's today looking for paper for her wedding favors and both mike's we went to just happened to have them, and i had a 40% off coupon. but it will help tremendously when i start scoring and folding the 130 pillow boxes that i will be cutting on my cricut next week.
Yes, Virginia, there really is a Martha Stewart Score Board!! I found mine yesterday. You would have thought I had hit the lottery. I have bugged the workers at my local Michael's for well over a month looking for one. I was in another town to visit my mom, called the store there, and BINGO. The clerk was nice enough to put one aside for me until I could get by there later that afternoon to pick it up.
I'm hoping they change the enveloper thing on the back to different/better sizes and then I will probably need to get one. Hope someone keeps checking and puts an alert out when the envelope thing is changed. Thanks!!! = )
Got it!! Just wondered into Michaels yesterday and was looking around, not really for the MS score board, and THERE IT WAS. Of course, I got it, with the 40% off coupon. I don't know if it was the revised envelope guide or not, but we shall see.
I was so excited to see them in our Micheals last night!! I've been looking for months and that rack was always empty. Even better I had a 60% off coupon so it only cost me $8!!
I am still so bummed. Both of my local Mike's have the pegs but no score boards. I really want to be able to use a coupon and get one. It is so frustrating as these Mike's aren't just around the corner for me. Is there anyone who would be willing to get me one with a coupon and I will pay for it and shipping???
Scored a board at Mikes yesterday! The girl said she put them out the night before...there were only 3 left when I got there. Yahooooooooo. I have a score pal too but I think I will use this one more often because of the 1/8" score lines.

Gill, I haven't forgot to look for one for you. I've been busy lately and I still didn't get shopping yet. I'll look when I'm at the store again. I just wanted to let you know that I didn't forget.
Thanks Patty, thats vey kind of you. Know what its like being so busy you hardly have time to breathe(so why is it I always find time to eat).
I have never heard of anyone over here getting one yet, although people are relying on relatives or friends over there trying to get hold of them.
Thanks again Gill
I saw the MS board when I was at CHA, Court, & it so doesn't compare to the Scor-Pal. I think you should wait. The quality is just so worth it.

I disagree. I just got the MS board today and have had a Scor-Pal for about two years. I just finished making 15 boxes using MS's board. So far though, I've only used it for simple scoring. Here are my pros and cons on it:
Pros for MS board -
MS board has a score line every 1/8"
The number is right on top of the score line you use, so there's no question what measurement you're scoring.
It's easy to score on.
It has a nice storage space for the envelope attachment.
It has a nice extra large storage space for the scoring tool, where I can store extra tools as they do wear out.
In the storage space for the tools, it has a chart with measurements for boxes, cards, and other frequently scored items. It's a nice quick reference.
It's about half the price of the Scor-Pal (regular price on both).
There's only one side with a lip so you can fit paper that is bigger than 12x12 (which, BTW, a lot of 12x12 paper is slightly too big for the Scor-Pal).
It came with instructions! Hey, I'm surprised how many products don't.
Cons for MS board -
It's easier to slip out of the scoring spot than with the Scor-Pal. Granted, I was using SU CS so it's thicker, but it still slipped easier.
Since there is a lip only on one side, you have to hold the paper in with a firmer grip than the Scor-Pal to help prevent slipping.
The Scoring tool is not as comfortable as the Scor-Pal tool when you're using it. If you're doing bulk, that matters.
It's thicker and heavier than the Scor-Pal so it's harder to fit into your crop bag. Though, it's not that much thicker, so it's really not that much harder to fit...
Pros for Scor-Pal -
It has deep channels that help prevent slipping (most slipping).
It has score marks for common scoring places.
The tool clicks into the top for storage and won't fall out.
It's super lightweight and thin. Makes for easy storage and carrying.
Despite it's thickness, it's very sturdy.
The scoring tool is comfortable to use and the new formula/model is quite sturdy and longer lasting than the old one.
Cons for Scor-Pal -
The preset scoring lines are often the sizes I don't need. The sizes I often need are not on there!
The measurement lines are before the number, which I have to keep reminding myself so I don't mess up...
It's usually slightly too small for 12x12 paper, meaning I have to monkey with it to make it fit. I've found that it's too small for SU paper.
As for what I'll be doing with my Scor-Pal...I'll be keeping it! They're both great tools and both have different advantages and disadvantages.
Now, I haven't seen the new (travel sized) Scor-Pal, so this is just based on the "old" Scor-Pal...

So I've used mine for over a month now, love the board and all the grid lines for measuring out just the score I want. Not so keen on the tool provided with the board as it is already showing wear down on the end? Wondering if I should try to contact the company and get their feedback? Can we buy replacement tools? Should we have to in such a short time?
I have been using the heck out of my MS Scoreboard & it was sooo worth the $10 I paid for it with my 50% off coupon. I found the tool to be a nice size, but a bit thin. I went through all of my tools (I hate to admit that it took me a while) and came up with a mini bone folder. It's just like the regular bone folder sized the same as the MS one that came with the board. It works better because the edges are rounder. I even had two of them! Shame on me. I keep one of them in the compartment on my board & use it all the time. No wear or tear. If I remember correctly, the mini bone folder was only a few dollars. I have severl scoring boards/tools and just use my MS Scoreboard now. I just love it.
I finally found a MS one at Mike's yesterday and had a 50% off coupon so it was only $15 Canadian. I don't have a Scor Pal due to the cost so I was excited to find a MS one.

I also use a bone folder with mine.. in fact I bought Martha Stewart's pink, blingy one because it had a sharper point and sharper edges than the bone folders I have at home. It works like a charm, and it won't wear out. And thanks to the nice compartment on the MS board, I can just store it in there. I just LOVE the MS score board. I can't really see using the Scor-Pal much anymore (unless I want to do a box or fold that will fit with their pre-measured lines for convenience.) I'm not slamming the Scor-Pal.. I absolutely loved it all the time I had it. In fact, I bought several for friends for gifts, and enabled many others to get one. I just like the MS one more because of the many score lines.
I'm getting one!!! I just ordered from Joan http://www.atjoansgardens.com/. She's been GREAT. Got back to me RIGHT away and she's sending it out TOMORROW!! Talk about great service. Thanks Joan. can't wait to get it. Oh and she has some in stock!!!
