I was wondering if this holds up well. I just made a bunch of "stuff" for my SIL for her b'day with Like it A Latte and used the applique. Does it start "turning" after a while, or still look good? Thanks, gals

Liquid Applique will hold up just fine. I just found some cards I did when I first became a demo 13 years ago. They look great. I used them to mkae the ice cream cones and they still look like I made them yesterday. Have you ever used liquid applique for snow or Santa's beard? You don't wait for the 24 hour drying period before using the heat tool. I use it, sprinkle prisma glitter and then use the heat tool. It makes the best snow or Santa's beard!
Hi Leney, thanks so much for the info!! Also, for the glitter tip. I'll remember that!! I love the way it looks and just hoped it stayed that way THANKS!

I used the red at Valentine's Day...and I did NOT heat it. I found the red got more pinkish with heat but I absolutely love the look of it when it dries. It's hard and shiny...very, very pretty.

Oh, am I glad to hear that! I bought some red by mistake, and was wondering what on earth I'd ever use it for! TFS!
Does SU still sell liquid applique; seems I couldn't find it in the catty the other day.
Wanda
Nope :( They used to - last time I saw it was in the Holiday mini (not this last one but the one before!!). I wish they'd put it back in the catty - I LOVE LA!!!
If it goes flat, just reheat and it will puff up again.
Wow, thanks for sharing this tip - I have a few cards I used it on and they did go flat, probably from being flattened by other cards. I almost tossed them, and now I'm glad I didn't!
BTW, pretty sure you can still get it at Michaels, Hobby Lobby, JoAnn's, etc.

This is one of the reasons that I love SCS so much. Look at the fabulous information we get here. I didn't know you could re-heat to puff....lol Thanks for the tip.
My Michaels doesn't carry it anymore. I went to J's last week and they didn't have any white. I ended up buying Tulip puffy paint. It worked great. The difference is you "puff" it with steam from your iron. I was in desperate need of whipping cream for a project. I was willing to try anything. :-)
I've checked at several Michaels and JoAnns and neither carry it. I don't know about Hobby Lobby b/c there aren't any near me. I'vee been looking all over for it.

CTMH sells white LA, it's really all you need because you can apply color to the white. Put it where you want, let it dry, then heat set, then rub it with chalks, it's a cool technique!
I just thought I'd add a little info about Liquid Applique that I recently found out. I found an old bottle (opened) of white LA that I'd had for probably 10 years....in time it had become discolored in the bottle (kind of a tan color) and I was going to toss it, thinking it was ruined, but I tried it anyway on some scrap paper, and when I heated it, it puffed up perfectly white. So if you have some that you think has gone bad, make sure to try it out first before pitching it!!
I ran across a card that my mom made about three years ago. She used the white to accent the Queen Ann's Lace stamp. The puffyness was kind of flattened but the color was just fine.

I have the SU liquid applique and everytime I used it.....it looked yellow???!!!! Did I get some old stuff????
Maybe you were heating it too long..that it kind of burned. It shouldn't turn yellow! I have some that is older than heck and it stills comes out white! Try not heating it so closely and for not so long and see if that works!

I've had great results with the Tulip puffy paint in white many times and never used my iron - just my trusty old heat tool, same as with Liquid Applique. And I believe the Tulip brand can still be purchased at Mike's. ??
