Default Kinko's how much?

Does anyone know how much Kinko's charges to cut the junior legal pads in half? I want to make some more note pads but Staples charges $2 per cut and told me it would take 2-3 cuts to cut a pack of 6 pads. That's way too much money imho to charge if you're buying the pads there. I was wondering if anyone has had this done at Kinkos and can share the cost? Thanks!

No Kinkos around here - but my advice is to call locally owned printing shops. They'll often do things for a fraction of the cost of big chains. Mine was able to make me 3 by 3 paper cubes to stamp on for a fraction (over 1/2 lower) of the cost of the ones from Oriental Trading.

Also, my dh's school has the machine/ paper cutter that is able to cut notepads in 1/2 in their technology/printing department. Don't know if you have access to something like that, but wanted to throw it out there since that's how I've gotten all of mine cut in half for free.

I just got back from Kinko's and they charged me $3 to cut 10 legal pads. The guy told me it was $1.49 per cut, and he could do 5 or 6 pads in one cut. Not bad...I'll make 20 gifts for $3. Teacher's gifts!
