Does anyone know a site where they show you how to color the whole inchie before stamping on it. Do you brayer the inchie, use a copic marker? Any help will be appreciated. Took a class on them yesterday and I AM HOOKED!!!
Thanks,

I just learned about inchies. Thought I might try making them. Does anyone want to swap maybe 1 or 2 a month to start? Any info about making them will be much appreciated.
thanks,
Jan
As Barb said, there is no right or wrong, just do what makes you happy! If you know you want a particular colour, you can always just use cardstock in that colour to make your basic inchie.

Ellen Hutson has the Inchie INKlings blog which is dedicated to all things inchie. Some fun ideas there and there are occasional challenges and sketches to play along with.
A punch or die is really useful if you're going to make many inchies although if you have a good paper cutter and some patience you can just cut them that way (no waste either).
I like a really sturdy base when I make inchies and when my favourite supplier of white chipboard inchies disappeared off the scene (I'm in the UK) I decided to do my own. I also really like the slightly bevelled edge you get with a die cut so I looked around for a die to do the job and found that the Cuttlebug squares die set includes one that is 1". I got a bag of mountboard offcuts for free from a local framing shop and I use that with the die. Most mountboard is white on the back so you can always flip it if its a colour you don't want to use.

Julia,
I made one inchie. I do not draw so it was definitely an experience finding something small enough. It just about wore my hands & eyes out. I probably can try to do 1 or 2 a month to swap if you want to try it. Just let me know & we can decide the theme for the month. Or, maybe you have other ideas.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Jan
