Default I found a lot of button dies

Several people here were looking for button dies. I found a boatload of different styles .

Be sure to watch the video first as you emboss these FIRST and then cut the die shapes

I have never done this because I don't have a Melting Pot or UTEE , but I have seen videos for using them. I'll bet a person could dip the button die cuts into the hot UTEE and the paper buttons would look exactly like clothing buttons.

Or use Glossy Accents on them .

The fact that these dies "emboss and cut" is a bonus.
Clothing buttons are a bit pricey so these dies would pay for themselves in no time

Amber I am not a big enabler, but these dies look like a great idea considering the price of buttons. I take it you also like the button dies LOL

I know you have been ailing. Please take care of your self and don't worry about my package . When you feel better is time enough to mail it.

I was at a Rubberstamp Expo over the weekend and bought two plates of these dies. I think they are going to be lots of fun. I never thought of using embossing powder to make them look like real buttons. Thanks for the idea!

Makaren, I was at the Rubberstamp Expo too---and bought a set of the buttons! (Along with a lotta other stuff!) Haven't tried it yet, but I would like to know if Mod Podge gloss on the cut buttons would get good results.

I don't have the button dies, UTEE nor a melting pot, but I can foresee a little problem in keeping the holes open as you dip them.
Here is a solution to that

It is the same principal as dipping candles. Put a "long" piece of jute through the holes first. Wind the jute around a pencil and use the pencil to lower the button die into the melting pot.
This is how you dip candles. The wick is wound around a pencil and balanced across the mold until the wax solidifies

If you are going to use Glossy Accents or Mod Podge balance the pencil ( with the jute wrapped around it ) on two of something so the button die just sits on the table. Then apply the Glossy Accents or Mod Podge. When it dries the jute to tie the bow is already in the button holes .

A yellow #2 pencil will work best as it has 6 flat sides. Anything round will roll off the objects you are using to balance it.

Make sense??

Aha I just thought of a better way if you are going to use Mod Podge or Glossy Accents. Punch a row of holes across one side of a shoe box.

Lay the box so the holes are at the top and the opening faces you .
Put the jute through the button holes, feed the jute through the holes in the box and wind around a pencil. Lay the pencil on what has become your top .
The button dies will be sitting on what has become your box bottom.
This way you can easily apply your medium to quite a few button dies at one time
