I finally got Stickles! *MERGED*

I found some at Archivers the other day, I went in to use my coupon and low and behold found a section with Stickles. I had an order ready to go thru an online store, I am glad I saved on shipping, and they were only 2.29. I love them!! I have put them on tons of my already made cards and they look amazing. Now I see what everyone was talking about, they are addictive! Well, I just wanted to share my good news! LOL!

Samsmommy 01-11-2007 04:07 AM

Congrats! I know how you feel. I was about to order some online when I got back from vacation, but while on vacation in TX I ventured into a great store called Recollections and they had tons for only $1.99 !! I was so excited! I can't wait to try them.

dianerh 01-11-2007 04:21 AM

Aren't they just the greatest?!?!?! ;-)

TNnative 01-11-2007 05:03 AM

Love the stickles!

myrnabs 01-15-2007 07:05 PM

What happens if we use our Heat gun with stickles? Is it better to do it while wet or dry? Or just not at all, TIA

steubner 01-15-2007 07:55 PM

We used heat guns at a make n take at Recollections to speed up drying time.

staramaze 01-15-2007 11:46 PM

I'm glad to hear I can dry stickles with my heat tool... I played with them and they take FOREVER to dry!

I have had mine for months... I just don't know WHAT to do with them!

myrnabs 01-16-2007 12:09 AM

I'm wondering if the paper won't burn? I was sort of trying it with mine, and as soon as I saw smoke I freaked out and stop immediately. Didn't want to mess up my swap. Nothing happened, but I'm just wondering if nothing will happen to it???

Mahloumel 01-16-2007 05:33 AM

Did you try heat-gunning the stickles on a piece of scrap paper? That way you could keep heating it without worry for your swap. Personally when I see smoke I get a little concerned about what is getting released into the air for me to breathe in.

Did you get a bunch of colors or just a few? I love my Stickles!!! Good for you!

Liz

Stickles is a glitter glue...that's the best way I can think of to describe it. Here is a pic of a card with them...I used them on the flowers.

beadfreak22 01-16-2007 07:54 AM

Thanks, Shannon!! Your card is awesome!

Katherine

Annek 01-16-2007 07:57 AM

Stickles

This may have been asked before, but I've not been able to find it.

I read somewhere on here that someone bought them at Hobby Lobby. I went yesterday, and I don't think that mine carries them. I couldn't find them.

I bought some on e-bay and got them today. I LOVE THIS STUFF. But my question is, is there anywhere other than the internet where you have purchased them, and if so where, and what do they cost?

I think I need them all. Ok, well, I don't NEED them all, but I'd sure like to have them all.

Thanks for you information.

www.scrapbookpal.com

That is the best place in the world. They have Stickles, and Primas, and free shipping for any orders over $25. Also, use the code SHOWS if you want a free Cat's Eye ink pad. :D

parknslide 01-16-2007 11:29 PM

I agree, scrapbookpal.com---they're $1.75

maryjo2 01-17-2007 05:21 AM

I love stickles and the look they produce on a card, but my kids love to craft too and I'm way too cheap to let them use that kind of stuff so I found a 4oz. bottle of glitter glue at michael's for $4.99 and used my 40% off coupon. I find myself using these too because they are just as nice.

DisneyDoll 01-17-2007 05:27 AM

Do you NEED Stickles! Hee, hee! Of COURSE you do! :-D You need EVERY little fun thing that is mentioned on SCS, that's how we all get ourselves in trouble! Someone talks about it, makes a card with it, and then we ALL have to have it and the manufacturers really should be paying SCS for all this free advertising! (Then it wouldn't be free advertising, but REALLY!)

beadfreak22 01-17-2007 05:33 AM

SOOOOO true, MeShell, soooo true!! Can you get stickles at Michaels or WalMart?

mrsdrmoab 01-17-2007 07:21 AM

Thanks ladies!

stampinit 01-17-2007 07:28 AM

What is everyones favorite colors? I would like to try some but I am not sure which colors to get.

mrsdrmoab 01-17-2007 07:32 AM

I just got three yesterday that I bought on e-bay. I really like the candy care, it's red and gold glitter, but I really like the Starry Night too. It's dark purple and dark blue with silver in it. I also got Frosted Lace, but I need to play with it on some dark paper.

I just want them all. I really like the fruit punch, I think that is going to have to be the next one that I get.

Michellelovesscrap 01-17-2007 07:34 AM

My TAC angel sent me red stickles with my order and I LOVE it! Perfect for reindeer nose! And valentines Day!

Scrapping&Stamping 01-17-2007 07:35 AM

I would suggest a clear/white glittery one (I have icicle) and a yellow. I use the icicle for covering any image to give it some "pop" and I use the yellow for flower centers.

CarensCreations 01-17-2007 07:50 AM

I get my stickles at my LSS, they don't have a large selection but are always getting in different colors. I pay $1.99 for them. I think I have every color now but the different shades of green. They are just the perfect thing to give your card that extra *sparkle*! :)

Michael's also has 1.8oz. bottles of glitter glue in a bigger selection of colors for 2.99

amyb66 01-17-2007 09:30 AM

stickles...

I am going to Michaels this week to see what they are exactly!
Do you use it as glue but just for sparkles?
Amy

maryjo2 01-17-2007 10:06 PM

I only use mine for the sparkle.

Lisa62 01-18-2007 02:40 AM

Our Micheal's doesn't carry them. I had to buy mine off ebay.

beadfreak22 01-18-2007 06:49 AM

Thanks for letting us know about that website -- it is awesome! Uh oh...

anniesmom 01-18-2007 07:12 AM

I love stickles. Will have to check out the website above since I can not find Stickles anywhere locally.

musesmom 01-19-2007 03:31 PM

stampinit 01-20-2007 04:34 PM

I just ordered a few. Does anyone have any tips for using this stuff? Do you leave it puffy or do you smooth it with a small brush or something?

Soozie4Him 01-20-2007 04:38 PM

Have you ever had trouble getting the glitter part to come out of the bottle? I got the Christmas Red and clear glue will come out, but no red glitter. I bought it from an ebay store (very reliable and all the other bottles I got are fine). Any tips?

Usually that means some of the glitter got stuck and clogged it up a little...just stick a needle or pin into the tip and then try again...it should work just fine! If it doesn't...then I have no clue! Good luck!

And if this doesn't work...I've snipped a bit off the tip with my scissors to get a little bit of a bigger opening and Presto! It worked!

My red clogged a bit and the pin trick didn't work, but snipping the tip solved it!
