i have the cutterpede and LOVE it...I have had it for 3-4 years and have had no problems. I did get a fiskars one a few months ago and I didn't like it all. My son usually uses it and it is good incase of emergencies.

Only one...sad to say.
Hi,
I just have the 12" Fiskars, but I went to a Creative Memories workshop and they have this adorable box paper cutter that you can use in your lap for scrapbooking, etc. I'm planning on purchasing one at the next workshop.
I have two of the 12" fiskars (I had one but then forgot it at home when I went to my parent's house so I had to buy another one) then I was introduced to the cutterpede and have both sizes of them plus, I think I still have old cm and I'm sure I have a couple more older ones stashed away somewhere (hmm, maybe I need to find them and send them to the Operation Scrapbook)
I have a Fiskars 12" cutter, and I hate it. I have had it quite a few years and it no longer cuts straight. I am looking for a new cutter. Has anyone tried the CriCut paper trimmer?
I have the SU Fiskars one, the SU Tabletop (Tonic) one, the CM little personal cutter (from years ago...never use it) and my beloved Carl for high volume cutting. They all (except for the CM one) have their purpose and I use them all.

It's official...I'm a stamping addict (second only to my "being a grandma" addiction)!
I started out years ago with a 12" and 9" grey Fiskars trimmers. They started to cut very poorly so Fiskars sent me a replacement grey 12" and a triple track 9". The triple track works really well for me when assembling card pieces, and the grey 12" is used exclusively for scoring with my stylus. I used to use the triple track for scoring too, but found the deeper cutting channel made for less nice score lines for me.
At this moment, in addition to the Fiskars trimmers I have:
a Zision 12" trimmer
a Carl pro 12" (the $30 model)
a hand-held rotary trimmer from the fabric dept that I use with a quilting guide to shave off fine slivers of paper
a pair of 14" long scissors
All of these (plus my assortment of special-purpose scissors) serve me well in their own ways. I used to do everything with just the Fiskars and having these other trimming device options makes my life a LOT easier and less frustrating. Storing them all is another matter entirely.

The Cricut 12" personal paper trimmer that sells for ~$12 used to be called the Zision. It works well enough, I found it cut better/straighter than the old 12" grey Fiskars trimmer. The only issues I've had with it are the blade dulls more quickly than I'm used to, and for a while there the replacement blades were quite hard to find. Also, the scoring blades for this thing come in two-packs; who needs two scoring blades for one trimmer?
Is your Fiskars a triple track (purply colour) or the original (grey colour)? The triple track is a VAST improvement over the original, fwiw.
I started with the little fiskar slider one. Then I bought a Carl Rotary which I could never get to cut straight. So then I bought the Fiskars Rotary one at Costco last year when it was on coupon. I love it, but it is soooo big. My final purchase was the green and pink provo craft one. It is the one I use the most because it is so portable.
I have 2 of the 12 inch fiskar ones, actually had 3, threw one away, had one of the little creative memories one, that also got thrown away. A big fiskars rotary cutter one that to this day I can not get to work. I had 2 12 x 12 tonic cutters (one sent to me by company for a problem with the other that didn't stop it from working), one of the 12 x 6 tonics, and one of the mini tonics (which I simply adore, you must get this one!). I also have my scor-it for scoring. I keep the 12 x 6 tonic upstairs for when I need it and my 12 x 12 tonic downstairs on the table DH made me just for it.

I just have one of the Fiskars 12in rotary trimmers, but I am thinking about getting a smaller portable one, although it is a little far down on my list of things to get.
I have a 12" guillotine cutter from the office supply store that I bought when I first started seriously papercrafting 2 years ago. Then I got a triple track Fiskars 12" that I still use just for scoring. My favorite cutter is the SU Tabletop cutter by Tonic.
I used to collect paper cutters of all types, but I have recently sold off all but the fiskars personal 12" trimmer. I also have the perfect layers tool, but that doesn't count, does it? And of course we can't count the cuttle bug or the coluzzle, those aren't "paper cutters" even though they do cut paper, right? ;-)

Oh, no...definitely not counting perfect layers or die cutters! We'd have to add columns to the poll! Not counting different scissors either...or else, rubber cutting, ribbon cutting, non-stick, regular, emergency can't find the others. That would be a whole other poll all in itself, LOL!
I have a 8.5" Fiskars that I bought when I first started scrapbooking. Except for pulling it out a few minutes ago to see just what size it was, it hasn't seen the light of day for a good 5 years, lol. I had a small Boston guillotine trimmer that I bought about the same time, which I used for several years until the blade fell off, so I replaced that with one of the CM guillotine trimmers. I have a 12" Fiskars that I bought when I started stamping, which I still use occasionally for scoring if I can't find the 12" Fiskars triple track trimmer that I won from my SU demo last summer. I also have a Cutterpede, which is my favorite of my 12" trimmers.
I own 3; including a big Carl cutter; but I continue to use and prefer my cheapo $14.98 Fiskars cutter. It's about 10 years old and still the one I use every day!

I have two. My CM personal trimmer that's almost 12 years old now, and a Cutterpede that I love! As soon as I got my cutterpede I got rid of that nasty 12" fiskars piece of trash! I hated that thing!
Well I *had* the gray 12" Fiskars personal trimmer until it decided not to cut straight anymore, then I called Fiskars and complained. They sent me (free of charge) the purple EuroTrimmer (just like what SU sells with the triple track) and I really like it (although it goes thru blades WAY too fast!).
I also have the Cricut trimmer I got 50% off at Mike's ($5), what a piece of JUNK! Straight out of the package the trimmer blade was dull! It made fuzzies the very first cut!
I also have the Purple Cows Photo Trimmer. It's a guillotine type and it works "ok" I have to constantly remind myself to hold the paper a certain way or it moves as you cut. UGH, but it does cut very cleanly!
I also have a HUGE Fiskars Rotary Timmer with the interchangeable blades. I hate it! I just don't like rotary cutters for anything (not even quilting!)
I do want to get a smaller trimmer to fit in my bag for when I go places.
My first trimmer: A gray Fiskars, that ALWAYS has cut crooked.
My second trimmer: A purple Fiskars EURO trimmer, that cuts straight, but sometimes at a slight angle. Wanted to mention that I had probs. out of a brand new blade cartridge that cut shaggy edges. I replaced that new blade with the second one from the pack of two, and it cut fine.
My third trimmer: Cutterpede. It cuts straight and all that, but I much prefer the Fiskars trimmers to it. CP trimmer takes way longer for me to make a cut than with the Fiskars ones. Also, it is more difficult to line things up when I make little cutting marks with a pencil, etc.
12" gray Fiskars--cuts crooked but ok when travelling
12" CM straight
12" CM wavy
CM personal (newer style with little drawer)
big, heavy duty cutter can cut stack of 300 sheets at once! (Christmas gift!)
I think I may even have the 12" CM thingy still from before they had separate cutters.
The only one I NEVER use is the CM wavy (and the 12" thingy if I still have it around somewhere...).
