Gamsol: Grease stains?
I'm so far behind the bandwagon. I finally got my prismacolors- but not markers, the pencils.
So I'm coloring with them and blending them with the OMS- and the result is BEAUTIFUL, and I'm getting so I can keep it inside the lines better as I practice, but not matter what I do, I get a "shadow" around my image- a grease stain. Is this normal? Will it go away? Am I using too much? How do I use less? Currently I have my OMS in a bottle with a sponge on the top, I just lightly touch my blender to the sponge to pick up some OMS. I can't think of a way to get less- unless I'm supposed to touch it, and then wipe it off each step. It's been about 10 minutes, and the stains are still very much there :( |
I do recall that when I was using mine that there may have been a little "wet line". It will go away. I'm sure that after my images were dry that I didn't notice those lines anymore.

Its been my experience that too much does leave a grease stain. Are you using the paper stumps to color with? Just don't saturate them so heavy.
|
Are you using paper stumps to blend? I use the paper stumps and while I get quite a bit on my stump, I've never had a bleeding/residue problem. Hmmmm....sorry I don't have anything better to offer. Maybe somebody else will.

Using too much - make sure to rub on scrap paper before you hit your art work to control it.
|
I've also had it happen on cheaper paper vs. other papers. The GP from walmart seems to be especially bad, but when I use Whisper White or Paper Accents Pearlized paper it's way better.
