Default Gamsol: Grease stains?

I'm so far behind the bandwagon. I finally got my prismacolors- but not markers, the pencils.

So I'm coloring with them and blending them with the OMS- and the result is BEAUTIFUL, and I'm getting so I can keep it inside the lines better as I practice, but not matter what I do, I get a "shadow" around my image- a grease stain.

Is this normal? Will it go away?

Am I using too much? How do I use less? Currently I have my OMS in a bottle with a sponge on the top, I just lightly touch my blender to the sponge to pick up some OMS. I can't think of a way to get less- unless I'm supposed to touch it, and then wipe it off each step.

It's been about 10 minutes, and the stains are still very much there

I do recall that when I was using mine that there may have been a little "wet line". It will go away. I'm sure that after my images were dry that I didn't notice those lines anymore.

Its been my experience that too much does leave a grease stain. Are you using the paper stumps to color with? Just don't saturate them so heavy.

Are you using paper stumps to blend? I use the paper stumps and while I get quite a bit on my stump, I've never had a bleeding/residue problem. Hmmmm....sorry I don't have anything better to offer. Maybe somebody else will.

Using too much - make sure to rub on scrap paper before you hit your art work to control it.

I've also had it happen on cheaper paper vs. other papers. The GP from walmart seems to be especially bad, but when I use Whisper White or Paper Accents Pearlized paper it's way better.
