After looking in Walmart, Target, Michaels, and JoAnn's for the subject pen, I found it online.
I probably spent a small fortune on gas to check these places but didn't want to spend the $6+ to order it online.
Well- Discount Office Supplies had it and their shipping rate is a set $3.95 .
With gas costing about $3 a gallon, I figured I might as well go for it. While I was at it I found a few other items like: tape, and bubble envies.
So - it gets better...
I ordered yesterday and guess what shows up on my doorstep today..?!
Yep- the pens and tape. I'm guessing the envies ship from elsewhere.
That was a $3.95 well spent.
I guess it helps that I live in VA and the order shipped from MD.
Oh....the link::: http://www.discountofficesupplies.com
LOL, I've been searching for these also! I have read a couple people say they found them at Walmart... but I have looked everytime I go there and other places and haven't found them yet!
They have them at www.joann.com. It's $3.29. I am in the free shipping club so that was even better than driving anywhere. Now I have to figure out what to do with it!!
oh carp I got the oil based one - can anyone tell me why I needed the water based one? I tried them and they both looked and felt the same and were opaque.
For those of you o the West Coast. Treasury of Memories in Bellingham, Washington also sell them. Haven't seen them here yet but I traded in my Signo pen for one of these. They are awesome!
Thanks for responding to my question :-D I'm new to these paint markers, here's the one I was curious about (from the Sharpie website, I think I'm too new to link)
Sharpie Water-Based Paint Marker Fine
Acid free; Archival quality
Features and Benefits
* Water-based opaque, valve-action paint marker is great for scrapbooking, art projects, posters and signs
* Vibrant colors for light and dark surfaces
* Water and fade resistant ink will not bleed through heavyweight paper
* Acid free
* Archival quality
* Safe for use by children
* Available in 18 colors

I thought it might work directly on stamps but was a little chicken to buy & try right off the bat LOL Thanks again for any input.

Shows what I know...I didn't even know Sharpie made water-based markers. Great find.

OK still confused, my Staples has white sharpies, alcohol based, are they OK . Not interested in applying to stamps, just for coloring in beards for Santa like in the card sample from above.
So should the white marker work on transparencies. I like to make the ornaments with snowmen in them and don't like embossing them. Should the markers work for this?
Also, what is the consensus - could you use these markers directly on rubber stamps?
