Default Faulty Die Cut Packaging

I am so upset with the old packaging of Altenew Die Cuts. I own several Altenew stamp sets and dies and love the product. My problem is with the packaging. The old packaging does not have a crimped line across the top of the package to keep the dies, once cut apart, in the package. The new packaging has corrected this flaw. Not soon enough for me. I cut my dies apart dropped them back in the package not realizing there was a hole in the packaging to hang the die package on a rack. The hole was big enough to let a small dies from Whimsical Flowers slip right through. Can't find it anywhere and assume the die fell in my trash can. No help at all from Altenew. "They do not replace dies" Nor do they offer to sell another set at a discount. I will buy that set again but from another company. Just wanted to make others aware of this problem. I am lucky as this set is fairly inexpensive but it could just as easily been a $30 set.

I convert all my stamps and dies over to Every Elle pouches for more secure and uniform storage. Those cellophane packages that stamp and die sets come in aren't really meant for long term storage, as they rip very easily. I prefer my items to be in more secure packaging. This applies to most stamp companies, not just Altenew. In fact, many companies aren't presenting their products in archival quality packaging as it would put the costs through the roof for us consumers.

Verda, sorry for your loss but I am one that would prefer that companies use less expensive packaging. I don't prefer to use my own storage methods so when a company provides their own storage methods it's a waste of money for me.

At least now you know and you can put a piece of scotch tape over the holes and still use their packages.

Funny that you should say that. I have just ordered Every Elle storage envelopes and had been looking at them for the past couple of months. Never had any problem before because I store them in a binder with plastic sleeves. There is now tape across the holes until I get my shipment from Ellen Hutson along with my new set of dies. Lesson learned.
